MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Rams head to Kansas City this week resulting in one of the lowest game totals involving the Chiefs we have seen in years. To say the Rams are currently in shambles is disrespectful to shambles everywhere. They have yet to name a starting Quarterback and list “top” offensive players Allen Robinson and Tyler Higbee as Questionable. I can’t reasonably recommend any Ram player on this slate.
The Chiefs are massive favorites and it’s difficult to see this game finding its way to a back and forth affair. The Chiefs do feature some cheap options, particularly with Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Mecole Hardman on Injured Reserve and newcomer Kadarius Toney having been ruled out. Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes’ top target, Isiah Pacheco and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are my top plays from Kansas City. While this is a great matchup for Patrick Mahomes, the price requires a ceiling and it’s hard to see one in this likely blowout.
THE DFS GEMS
CHIEFS DEFENSE, $2,800 on DraftKings. A great price for this home game against a team playing for the offseason.
TRAVIS KELCE, CHIEFS, $7,700 on DraftKings. Mahomes’ top option can hit his ceiling in three quarters here.
MARQUEZ VALDES-SCANTLING, CHIEFS, $4,000 on DraftKings. The injuries have piled up in the Chiefs’ receiving corps and the price is enticing.
