MATCHUP SUMMARY

The Eagles are looking to start the season off right here with a win against the lowly Lions who had the 31st ranked Rushing DVOA in the league last season. Couple that with Philly’s 3rd ranked Offensive rushing DVOA and we have a complete mismatch here. Miles Sanders returned to practice a week or so ago after missing most of training camp and should be a good option in DFS this week. The Eagles also went out and got AJ Brown from the Titans in free agency this season and cut bait with Jalen Reagor who they sent to the Vikings about a week ago. This receiving core will be led by AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. No one else is really viable unless one of them gets hurt. Dallas Goedert is a STUD who gets one of the best matchups in football for the TE. In 2021, The Lions gave up the 2nd most yards to the TE.

I am really excited to see this team play for some reason. I like a lot of the pieces they have assembled and should be on the upswing this season. The focal point of their offense should be D’Andre Swift. He has 73 receptions over his last 16 games and the Eagles gave up the 3rd most catches to the RB position last season.  Amon-Ra St. Brown is coming off a monster breakout season band gets a surprisingly decent matchup here. You want to attack the Eagles with WR in the slot, where St. Brown played around 60% of the time last season as the Eagles have shutdown corners on the outside with Slay and Bradberry. Another player that is looking to have a major breakout season is TE TJ Hockenson. In this matchup, like St. Brown, he will be in the slot most of the time and should be able to expose this Eagles LB group.

I am really liking this game stack for DFS. Outside of Jalen Hurts, I don’t see much ownership going into this game. There are a few pieces we like here and numerous diff stacks to go with. Both Defenses were in the bottom 6 in passing DVOA last season and that could be a way to stack up this game.

THE DFS GEMS

JALEN HURTS, PHI – $6,800 on DraftKings. Will be a popular option on this slate, but has been a top 5 fantasy QB since he came into the league. Elite upside with his rushing ability.

DALLAS GOEDERT, PHI – 4,500 on DraftKings. Prefer him for price over AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. Elite matchup here.

AMON-RA ST. BROWN, DET  – $6,800 on DraftKings. Can he make it 7 straight games with 10+ targets??? Dude was a beast down the stretch last season and gets a clean matchup here in the slot.
