NBA DFS Daily Breakdown – Run Pure Sports

Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports – NBA DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Wednesday’s huge 10 game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the overnight point spreads, game and team totals along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.

RAPTORS (112.5) -3.5, 221.5 @ PISTONS (109)

The (17-22) Raptors visit the (10-29) Pistons with the hopes of getting Pascal Siakam back as he is currently listed as questionable. OG Anunoby is expected to be out while Fred VanVleet is currently listed as doubtful. The thing we love about the Raptors is their starters typically log heavy minutes. However, all of their prices have been adjusted for the injury/covid situation they are currently dealing with. If Pascal Siakam were to miss (along with Anunoby & VanVleet) that is a huge hit to this Raptors defense making the Pistons side interesting in Daily Fantasy formats.

Injury News – OG Anunoby OUT, Fred VanVleet Doubtful, Pascal Siakam Questionable, Dennis Smith Jr Questionable, Wayne Ellington Doubtful

DFS Targets – Kyle Lowry, Norman Powell, Delon Wright, Josh Jackson

NETS (118) -4, 232 @ PACERS (114)

The (27-13) Nets look to continue their winning streak against the (17-21) Pacers. With Caris LeVert making his Indiana debut, the Pacers are 1-1 with a win over the Suns and loss to the Nuggets. Caris LeVert is the type of player who demands usage which could have impacts on guys like Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis. Let’s also not forget the most important thing to note in this game; Caris LeVert will be facing the team that just dumped him to make the James Harden deal work. LeVert will be out for #REVENGE.

Injury News – Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin OUT. Jeremy Lamb Questionable

DFS Targets – James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Jeff Green, DeAndre Jordan, Nicolas Claxton, Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis

BUCKS (121.5) -6.5, 236.5 @ 76’ERS (115)

The (25-14) Bucks visit the Joel Embiid-less (28-12) 76ers who have been a tough team to beat at home this season. However, without Joel Embiid, they will have a tough task in limiting Giannis Antetokounmpo in the paint for his easy looks. Ben Simmons will be asked to do a lot more offensively and his game tends to thrive in fast paced games where he has transition opportunities. The pace in this one should be mighty tasty and I have plenty of interest in Daily Fantasy formats.

Injury News – Joel Embiid OUT

DFS Targets – Jrue Holiday, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Danny Green

WIZARDS (224.5) -3.5, 245.5 vs KINGS (221)

The (14-24) Wizards head out to face the (15-24) Kings in what should be a fast paced shootout with very little defense played. This game will present a plethora of daily fantasy opportunity with minimal risk given the nature of how both teams operate. De’Aaron Fox and Russell Westbrook are two of the faster players in the league and are always looking to push in transition. Both have attractive price tags and are firmly in play tonight. With Marvin Bagley expected to be out, we should see a tightened Kings rotation with Tyrese Haliburton being the primary benefactor. Trust me when I saw this is one of the more elite stacking spots we will see all season.

Injury News – Marvin Bagley OUT

DFS Targets – De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes, Russell Westbrook, Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura

BULLS (114.5) -1.5, 227.5 vs SPURS (113)

The (18-20) Bulls visit the (20-16) Spurs in what should be an interesting matchup between two teams that have been mixing up their rotations to get back on the winning path. The Bulls have moved Thaddeus Young and Tomas Satoransky into the starting lineup; since this adjustment they are 2-0 with wins over the Raptors and Thunder. The Spurs rotation has been a complete disaster but they are coming off a nice win over the Pistons. Tomas Satoransky is the main guy I have interest in this game for value; he has been highly productive since moving into the starting lineup. There will be some fine Daily Fantasy plays here but I much prefer the Wizards vs Kings game we previously discussed.

Injury News – LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar DeRozan OUT, Garrett Temple OUT

DFS Targets – Jakob Poeltl, Keldon Johnson, Derrick White, Tomas Satoransky, Lauri Markkanen, Zach Lavine

CELTICS (113) -9, 217 @ CAVALIERS (104)

In NBA Daily Fantasy, you should always be looking to trim down your player pool on big slates like this one. This is the ideal spot to do so. I couldn’t imagine playing anyone outside of Daniel Theis as a one-off value option in this game. Daniel Theis is only somewhat viable as Tristan Thompson is likely out (again). The other player you could make a case for is Jaylen Brown with Kemba Walker expected to be out. However, the overall pace and matchup here is not appealing.

Injury News – Kemba Walker, Tristan Thompson Doubtful

DFS Targets – Daniel Theis, Jaylen Brown, Larry Nance

WARRIORS (118.5) -11, 226 @ ROCKETS (107.5)

The (20-20) Warriors look to bounce back in a cupcake matchup against the struggling (11-27) Rockets. Houston expects to give Victor Oladipo some rest (B2B) which firmly will put Kevin Porter Jr into the Daily Fantasy Spotlight. Porter Jr looks like an absolute stud and despite the poor record, this Rockets team will have a lot to build on once Christian Wood is back to playing full minutes. Overall, this should be an interesting spot in Daily Fantasy; if the Rockets are able to keep within striking distance, it will bring a few of these Warriors guys into play.

Injury News – Victor Oladipo Doubtful, Christian Wood & Danuel House Questionable

DFS Targets – Kevin Porter Jr, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Stephen Curry

NUGGETS (119) -6.5, 231.5 vs HORNETS (112.5)

The (20-18) Hornets travel out to face the (23-16) Nuggets in what should be another extremely viable game to target in NBA Daily Fantasy. The main problem with the Hornets side right now is they have too many bodies. We do not need to force the issue with anyone on their side. We do want to see Lamelo Ball continue to start as he pushes the pace in transition for this Hornets squad. The best way to play this game is to attack the Hornets with Will Barton, Michael Porter Jr, and Nikola Jokic. Assuming this game stays close, all three of these guys could have themselves a night.

Injury News – Monte Morris, RJ Hampton, Gary Harris OUT

DFS Targets – Will Barton, Michael Porter Jr, Nikola Jokic

HEAT (111) -2, 220 @ GRIZZLIES (109)

As we stated with the Cleveland game, in NBA Daily Fantasy on 10 game slates, you always want to find spots you can eliminate. We have gone through at least three to four highly elite spots on this slate already, with that in mind, this is another spot I will be completely crossing off my list.

Injury News – Nothing major

DFS Targets – None

CLIPPERS (115) -3, 227 @ MAVERICKS (112)

The (26-15) Clippers get a rematch against the (20-18) Mavericks who they just beat a few nights ago. Luka Doncic had himself a game putting up 68 DK points but it wasn’t enough for the win. The backend of these ‘rematch’ games between teams have typically been a bust in Daily Fantasy format. With that in mind, I don’t have any issues being underweight this spot. As always, Luka Doncic is definitely in play; I just feel we have many other options that are much better. Paul George is cheap but has really been struggling of late. The last thing to note is Kawhi Leonards price tag does make him somewhat appealing at 8.7k on DraftKings.

Injury News – Patrick Beverley OUT

DFS Targets – Kawhi Leonard, Luka Doncic
