Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports – NBA DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Friday’s seven-game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the overnight point spreads, game and team totals along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.

HEAT (109.5) -5, 214 @ HAWKS (104.5)

The Atlanta Hawks (32-27) will travel to Miami to take on the Heat (31-28) at State Farm Arena. The Hawks are coming off an overtime loss in New York 137-127 a game that also saw them lose star guard Trae Young for at least the next two games with a sprained ankle. Young had 20 points and 14 assists before leaving the game in the 3rd quarter after landing on the foot of Knicks center Norvel Pelle. Clint Capela led the way with a team-high 25 points on 12-17 shooting and 22 rebounds. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Heat have won three in a row after beating the Spurs in San Antonio 107-87. Bam Adebayo led the way with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 18 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Tyler Herro came off the bench to add 22 points and 6 rebounds.

The Brooklyn Nets (39-20) will look to get back on track when they host the Boston Celtics (32-27). The Nets, playing without James Harden and Kevin Durant,  lost to Toronto on Wednesday 114-103. Kyrie Irving led the way in the loss with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Bruce Brown came off the bench to added 21 points and 14 rebounds. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Celtics saw their six game winning streak snapped on Monday when they lost to the Chicago Bulls. Last night they started a new streak when they beat the Phoenix Suns at home 99-86. They were led by Kemba Walker with 32 points. Jayson Tatum added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games.

In a matchup between one of the league’s best teams and one of the worst the Los Angeles Clippers (42-19) will travel to Houston to take on the Rockets (15-44). The Clippers are currently the #3 seed in the West only 1.5 games behind Phoenix for the #2 spot. They are coming off a 117-105 win over Memphis behind 28 points and 7 rebounds from Luke Kennard. Macrus Morris Sr. added 25 points. They played without Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Reggie Jackson and Rajon Rondo. They have won 10 of their last 11 games. The Rockets are heading in the opposite direction losing 12 of their last 14 games. They lost at home to Utah on Wednesday 112-89. John Wall led the team with 21 points and 6 assists.

Russell Westbrook and the Washington Wizards (25-33) will travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder (20-39). Westbrook played the first 11 seasons of his NBA career in Oklahoma City and is coming in with a Wizards team that is on quite a roll winning six straight games and eight of their last nine. The Thunder are coming in still winless in the month of April (0-12). They lost in Indiana on Wednesday 122-116. Darius Bazley led the way with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Svi Mykhailiuk had 20 points and 9 rebounds and Moses Brown added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The struggling Charlotte Hornets (28-30) will look to turn things around when they welcome in the Cleveland Cavaliers (21-37) to start a three-game homestand. The Hornets lost in Chicago last night 108-91 and have now lost six of their last seven games. Devonte’ Graham had 16 points and Miles Bridges added 13. They are 3-7 in their last 10 games. The Cavaliers snapped a three-game losing streak last time out when they beat the Chicago Bulls at home 121-105. Collin Sexton had a game-high 30 points to lead the way. Darius Garland had 25 and Kevin Love added 15 points and 9 rebounds.

The Golden State Warriors (29-30) return home after a 3-2 road trip to take on the Denver Nuggets (38-20). The Warriors ended their road trip with a 118-114 loss in Washington. Kelly Oubre Jr led the way off the bench with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Jordan Poole added 22. Steph Curry who had been on a scoring tear in the month of April was held to just 18 points on 7-25 shooting. They are 6-4 in their last 10 games. The Nuggets have won four games in a row since the injury to Jamal Murray and are coming off a 106-105 win in Portland. Nikola Jokic led the way with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Michael Porter Jr. added 17. They have won 12 of their last 14 games.

The Portland Trail Blazers (32-26) are hoping to stop their recent slide when they host the Memphis Grizzlies (29-28). The Blazers have lost three games in a row and eight of their last 11. They are coming off a heart breaker to Denver at home 106-105. Damian Lillard returned after missing a few games and led the way with 22 points. Norman Powell added 17. The Grizzlies are coming off back-to-back losses in Denver (139-137) in two overtimes and in Los Angeles against the Clippers (117-105). Jonas Valanciunas has missed the last two games with a concussion and is listed as out again tonight.
