Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports – NBA DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Wednesday’s nine game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the overnight point spreads, game and team totals along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.

PACERS (116.5) -3.5, 229.5 vs TIMBERWOLVES (113)

The Indiana Pacers (22-27) will welcome in the Minnesota Timberwolves (13-38) to Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Pacers are coming off a home loss to Chicago last night 113-97. They played without their two leading scorers in Malcolm Brogdon (21.2 ppg) and Domantas Sabonis (19.9 ppg) and then saw NBA shot-blocking leader Myles Turner go down with a sprained ankle in the third quarter Caris LaVert led the way with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Jeremy Lamb came off the bench to add 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals in 23 minutes. The Timberwolves are coming off an impressive home win over Sacramento 116-106 behind D’Angelo Russell’s 25 points. It was the first game he has played in nearly two months. Karl Anthony-Towns added 23 points and 15 rebounds.

The Orlando Magic (17-33) will look to break a two-game losing streak when it hosts the Washington Wizards (17-32). The Magic lost in Denver 119-109 on Sunday. Chuma Okeke and Terrence Ross led six players in double figures with 19 points each. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games. The Wizards have lost four games in a row after losing 103-101 in Toronto on Monday. Russell Westbrook recorded his nightly triple-double with 23 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists. They hope to have Bradley Beal, the NBA’s leading scoring at 31.3 points per game, back in the starting lineup.

The Boston Celtics (25-26) play host to the New York Knicks (25-26) at TD Garden Arena. Last night the Celtics lost at home to Philadelphia 106-96. Jayson Tatum led the way with 20 points. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Knicks are also coming off a loss in Brooklyn 114-112 and have now lost four of their last five games. In a losing effort Julius recorded a triple-double against the Nets when he had 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. RJ Barrett led the way with 22 points. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games.

The Brooklyn Nets (35-16) will play host to the New Orleans Pelicans (22-28) from the Barclays Center. The Nets beat the Knicks on Monday 114-112 behind 40 points and 7 assists from Kyrie Irving. The win was over shadowed by the loss of James Harden who left in the first quarter after only playing four minutes with hamstring tightness. It was the same injury that had kept him out the previous two games. Kevin Durant, who hasn’t played since Feb. 13th could return tonight. The Nets are 7-3 in the last 10 games. The Pelicans welcomed back Zion Williamson to the lineup. He finished with a game-high 34 points and 5 rebounds. Lonzo Ball just missed a triple-double with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists. Brandon Ingram did not play.

The Atlanta Hawks (27-24) look to stay hot as they host the Memphis Grizzlies (25-23) at State Farm Arena. The Hawks beat the Pelicans last night 123-107 behind 30 points and 12 assists from Trae Young. Bogdan Bogdanovic had 21 points and Clint Capela added 12 points and 12 rebounds. They have won 13 of their last 17 games. The Grizzlies are riding a three-game winning streak after their impressive 124-112 win in Miami last night. Dillon Brooks led the way with 28 points. Jonas Valanciunas added 20 points and 10 rebounds. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

The Dallas Mavericks (28-21) put their five game winning streak on the line when the travel to Houston to take on the Rockets (13-37). The Mavericks beat the Jazz 111-103 on Monday in Dallas. Luka Doncic just missed a triple-double with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Dorian Finney-Smith had 23 points and 6 rebounds. Jalen Brunson added 20 points off the bench. The Rockets are going in the opposite direction as they have lost five games in a row after losing to Phoenix at home 133-130. Christian Wood led seven players in double figures with 23 points. Kelly Olynyk had 21 and Kevin Porter Jr added 20 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Hornets are 1-3 on their current six game road trip after their 116-86 loss in Boston on Sunday. Terry Rozier finished with a team-high 22 points and 7 rebounds.

In a battle between the top two teams in the Western Conference the Utah Jazz (38-12) will travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns (35-14). The Jazz saw their nine-game winning streak snapped in Dallas on Monday 113-101. They struggled from 3-point range making just 12 of 44 attempts in the loss. They had come in as the #1 3-point shooting team in the league. Mike Conley led the way with 28 points and 7 assists. Rudy Gobert posted 14 points and 15 rebounds. The Suns have won six games in a row and nine of their last 10. They escaped in Houston with a 133-130 win behind Devin Booker’s game-high 36 points. Deandre Ayton had 27 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Paul added 19 points and 11 assists. There two teams played back on New Year’s Eve in Salt Lake City and the Suns came away with the win 106-95 which was the last time the Jazz have lost a home game.
