Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports – NBA DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Wednesday’s 10 game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the overnight point spreads, game and team totals along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.

TRAIL BLAZERS (114) -7, 221 @ PISTONS (107)

The Detroit Pistons (12-33) will look to make it two in a row when they host the Portland Trail Blazers (28-18). The Pistons beat the Raptors 118-104 on Monday ending a four-game losing streak. Three players led the way with 19 points each, Saddiq Bey, Saben Lee and Hamidou Diallo. They won despite a cold shooting night from leading scorer Jerami Grant who finished with only 7 points on 3-12 shooting. The Trail Blazers have won three in a row and six of their last eight games. They are coming off a 122-117 win in Toronto behind 23 points from CJ McCollum. Leading scorer Damian Lillard added 22 points (7-21 shooting) and 11 assists.

The Miami Heat (23-24) will travel to Indiana to take on the Pacers (21-24). They Heat broke a six game losing streak on Monday when they beat the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden 98-88. They were led by Jimmy Butler with 27 points and 6 assists. Bam Adebayo posted a double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. The Pacers will look to rebound from a 132-124 loss at Washington. They had won four of their previous five games. Domantas Sabonis stayed red hot with 35 points and 11 rebounds. The Pacers are 2-0 against the Heat this season.

The Dallas Mavericks (24-21) will visit TD Garden Arena to take on the Boston Celtics (23-24). The Mavericks broke a two game losing streak with a blowout win on the road at Oklahoma City 127-106. Luke Doncic scored 25 points in his return from being out two games with a back injury. Kristaps Porzingis added 20 points and 9 rebounds. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Celtics are coming off a disappointing home loss to the Pelicans 115-109. They are in the midst of a seven game homestand which played in front of fans for the first time in over a year on Monday night. Newly acquired Evan Fournier’s debut did not go well. He was 0-10 shooting for 0 points in 33 minutes of action. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games.

In a matchup of two teams heading in opposite directions, the Brooklyn Nets (32-15) will host the Houston Rockets (12-32). The Nets are 18-3 in their last 21 games and 8-2 since the All-Star break. The Nets survived against Minnesota on Monday 112-107. James Harden has been putting up incredible numbers night in and night out. He recorded his 12th triple-double of the season with 38 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assist in the latest win. Kyrie Irving returned to the lineup with 27 points. The Rockets meanwhile played their second straight game without leading scorer Christian Wood in a 120-110 loss to Memphis. Kelly Olynyk led the way with 25 points and 9 rebounds.

The New York Knicks (24-23) travel to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves (11-36) at the Target Center. The Knicks had a three-game winning streak snapped on Monday when they lost to Miami 98-88. Julius Randle led the way with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Derrick Rose, in his second game back to the lineup added 16 points off the bench. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Timberwolves put up a good fight in Brooklyn in their last outing losing 112-107. It was their fifth loss in the last six games, Karl Anthony-Towns posted his 3rd straight double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Edwards posted 23 points and 10 rebounds. They are 3-7 in their last 10 games.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (19-27) will look to break a three-game losing streak when it host the Toronto Raptors (18-28). The Thunder have been playing short-handed recently with the injuries to leading Scorer Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Darius Bazley and Luguentz Dort. They lost to Dallas 127-106 on Monday. Aleksej Pokusevski led the way with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Moses Brown has emerged with all the injuries to be a nice DFS play on most nights. The Raptors have really been struggling. They only have one win this month (1-12) and that came against the mighty Denver Nuggets a week ago 135-111. While they haven’t been winning many games we can still target guys in DFS. Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry have all been playable the last few weeks.

The Utah Jazz (34-11) will take the league’s best record into Memphis to take on the Grizzlies (21-22). The Jazz have won six games in a row and eight of their last 10. They hammered Cleveland 114-75 on Monday behind 18 points and 17 rebounds from Rudy Gobert. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 18 points but will miss tonight’s game (personal reasons). They swept a pair of games from the Grizzlies last week in Utah and will look for the season sweep. Memphis rebounded from those two defeats with a 120-110 win over the Rockets led by Jonas Valanciunas’ season-high 30 points and 15 rebounds. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games.

The San Antonio Spurs (23-20) will play host to the Sacramento Kings (21-25) for the second time in three days. The Spurs lost to the Kings on Monday 132-115 and have now lost five of their last six games. Dejounte Murray led the way with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Jakob Poeltl had 17 points and 11 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan added 17 points and 8 assists. The red hot Kings come in on quite a roll. They have won five games in a row and seven of their last eight. De’Aaron Fox has been fantastic all year and leads the team in scoring at 24.8 ppg but he’s gotten a lot of offensive help from Richaun Holmes, Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes. They currently sit in 11th place in the Western Conference.

The Los Angeles Lakers (30-17) will welcome in the Milwaukee Bucks (29-17) to the Staples Center. The Bucks will be looking to break a three-game losing streak after winning their previous eight games. After leading the Clippers 38-16 after one quarter on Monday the Bucks got outscored 103-67 over the final 3 quarters. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way in the loss with 32 points. Jrue Holiday added 24. The Lakers will be without stars Lebron James who will sit out his seventh game this season and Anthony Davis who has missed the last 20 games with a right calf strain. Newly acquired center Andre Drummond plans to start in his first game with the team. He has not played in a game since Feb. 12th. He averaged 17.5 ppg and 13.5 rpg with the Cavaliers.

The Phoenix Suns (33-14) look to stay hot when they host the Chicago Bulls (19-26). The Suns are coming off a117-110 win over the Hawks last night and have now won six of their last seven games. They are currently the #2 seed in the West and own the third best record in the NBA. Devin Booker led a balanced scoring attack with 21 points on 8-19 shooting. Deandre Ayton added 13 points and 14 rebounds. The Bulls come into this game hoping to break a four-game losing streak after their 116-102 loss in Golden State. Nikola Vucevic had 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the loss. Zach LaVine had a cold shooting night and scored only 12 points (16 points below his average) on 4-16 shooting. They are 3-7 in their last 10 games.
