NBA DFS DAILY BREAKDOWN 3/28/2022 | RUN PURE SPORTS

Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports – NBA DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Monday’s 9-game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the overnight point spreads, game and team totals along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.

NUGGETS (118.5) -4, 233 vs HORNETS (114.5)

The Nuggets (44-31) travel to Charlotte to face the Hornets (39-36). Denver is 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread, while the Hornets are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. This game is hugely important for both teams. Denver is currently the 6 seed in the west and is looking to stay out of the play in tournament and the Hornets are looking to stay in the play in mix as they are currently the 8 seed in the loaded east. This is an absolute SMASH spot for the incredible Nikola Jokic. You could play him with one of Gordon, Barton or Hyland and run it back with a Hornet here. Gordon would be my favorite. Lamelo Ball is coming off a massive 63DK point performance and this is another great matchup for the Charlotte guards. Him and Rozier are my favorite runbacks.

Denver – Cancar – OUT, Nnaji – OUT, Porter – OUT, Murray – OUT, Campazzo – QUES, Ja Green – QUES

Charlotte – Hayward – OUT

DFS Targets

NIkola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, Will Barton, Nyshon Hyland, Lamelo Ball, Terry Rozier

HAWKS (121.25) -7.5, 235 vs PACERS (113.75)

The Hawks (37-37) head to Indiana to take on the Pacers (25-50). Atlanta is 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread, while the Pacers are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread. An absolute SMASH spot for Trae Young here and he is coming off a massive 66DK point performance versus the Warriors. If Gallo and Bog miss again, he will be forced into heavy minutes yet again and increased usage. I do worry a bit if Indy can keep this game close though. Indy continues to be very thin. If Goga misses again, Terry Taylor, Brissett and Jalen Smith all get bumps. Justin Anderson should continue to get the start and he is still viable at his price.

Injury News

Atlanta – Gallo – QUES, Mays – Out, Bogdanovic – QUES

Indiana – Jackson – OUT, Duarte – OUT, Brogdon – OUT, Goga – QUES, Washington – QUES

DFS Targets

Trae Young, Danillo Gallinari, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Terry Taylor, Oshae Brissett, Jalen Smith, Justin Anderson

MAGIC (102.75) +9.5, 215 vs CAVS (112.25)

Orlando (36-36) heads to Cleveland take on the Cavs (19-53). The Magic are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread, while the Cavs are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. This is a BLAH game for me on this slate. Has the lowest total on the slate and the Cavs are 10 point favs. The Magic have nothing to play for here. I wont have any Magic in my player pool tonight barring any surprising injury/rest news. Same goes for the Cavs.

Injury News

Orlando – Suggs – OUT

Cleveland – Rando – OUT, Allen – OUT

BULLS (114) -4.5, 223.5 vs KNICKS (109.25)

The Bulls (43-31) travel to NY to face the Knicks (33-42). Chicago is 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Knicks are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. The Bulls are coming into this game looking for a much needed win as the are 4-6 over their last 10 games and only 2 games up on the cavs to be in the playin tournament. It’s always hard for me to target any of the big 3 for Chicago when they are all playing as they eat into each others fantasy production. You could say that Vucevics price is a bit low at only 8300, but I’m not thrilled with that. I will be fading the Bulls here. I also dont see myself playing any of these Knicks on this 9 game slate.

Injury News

Chicago – Ball – OUT

New York – Grimes – QUES

KINGS (103.25) +13, 219.5 vs HEAT (116.25)

The Kings (27-48) travel to Miami to face the Heat (47-28). Sacramento is 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Heat are 4-1 in their last 5 games against the spread. This is a game where the Heat should handedly beat this awful Kings team without their 2 best players. We have been jamming in Davion Mitchell over the last few games, but he is finally priced up to 7400 in a very tough matchup. I wont have any Kings here. On the Heat side, its very hard to play anyone with the massive 13 point spread on a big slate. Its an incredible matchup for both Bam and Jimmy here and they are both under 8300. If you think the kings can hang I dont hate playing Davion and running it back with Bam or Jimmy.

Injury News

Sacramento – Fox – OUT, Sabonis – OUT

Miami – Martin – QUES, Tucker – QUES, Herro – QUES, Vincent – QUES

DFS Targets

Davion Mitchell, Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler

CELTICS (106.75) +4, 217.5 vs RAPTORS (110.75)

The Celtics (47-28) travel to Toronto to face the Raptors (42-32). Boston is 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Raptors are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. This is an incredibly important game for both teams. Boston is on a 6 game winning streak and sits atop the east with Miami for the 1 seed in the east. Toronto is 1 game up on the Cavs for the 6 seed and is looking to avoid the playin tournament. With Timelord OUT and Horford Doubtful, this sets up Daniel Theis to be the chalkiest player on the slate today at only 3700. I think you just have to play him and move on. Grant Williams is also in play as a value but I def prefer Theis. Jaylen Brown is only 8100 and is a fantastic play here at the price. I am never thrilled playing Tatum at his pricetag but he is also in play here. On the Toronto side, the only guy I would consider is Pascal Siakam but I am not thrilled.

Injury News

Boston – Horford – DOUB, Tatum – QUES, Robert Williams – OUT

Toronto – Flynn – OUT, Trent QUES

DFS Targets

Daniel Theis, Grant Williams, Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, Pascal Siakam

SPURS (121.75) -7, 236.5 vs ROCKETS (114.75)

The Spurs (30-44) travel to Houston to face the Rockets (20-55). SA is 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Rockets are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread. This game has the highest total on the slate. I question if this game can stay close or not. This is an absolute SMASH spot for both Dejounte Murray and Jakob Poeltl. I think I prefer Poeltl as I like other studs more than Dejounte at his price. Problem is Pop doesnt play him more than 30 minutes. Its the same problem on the Houston side as well. They dont play their guys over 30 minutes which severely hinders their upside. i hope people load up on this game and I can look elsewhere.

Injury News

San Antonio – Vassell – PROB, Walker – QUES, Langford – OUT

Houston – NONE

DFS Targets

Dejounte Murray, Jakob Poeltl

WARRIORS (106.25) +10.5, 223 vs GRIZZLIES (116.75)

The Warriors (48-27) travel to Memphis to face the Grizzlies (52-23). GS is 4-1 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Grizzlies are 1-4 in their last 5 games against the spread. It looks as if the Warriors are punting this game on a back to back. This gives us some incredible value here. Kuminga will likely be right up there with Theis as the highest owned player on the slate at only 4400. Gary Payton is alos looking at increased run at only 4100. Jordan Poole will continue to do everything for this team but is priced up at 8100. The only Memphis guy that I have interest in is Tyus Jones. His price is rising but is still slightly too cheap.

Injury News

Golden State – Green – DOUB, Thompson – DOUB, Iggy – QUES, Curry – OUT, Porter – DOUB

Memphis – Clarke – QUES, Jackson – QUES, Morant – OUT

DFS Targets

Jonathan Kuminga, Gary Payton, Jordan Poole, Tyus Jones

THUNDER (112.25) -2.5, 222 vs PORTLAND (109.75)

The Thunder (21-53) travel to Portland to face the Blazers (20-55). OKC is 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Blazers are 4-1 in their last 5 games against the spread. Neither of these teams wants to win games at this point and are competing for the number 1 overal pick. This is an incredible spot for all the OKC guys. I will rank them as follows, Tre Mann, Theo Maledon, Isaiah Roby, Poku, Krejci. All of them are too cheap with SGA out. For the Blazers, Keon Johnson and Greg Brown should see increased run here with Watford OUT. I will stick to those 2 as I dont want to pay for Eubanks or Williams.

Injury News

OKC – Bazley – DOUB, SGA – OUT

Portland – Hart – OUT, Watford – OUT, Winslow – OUT, Brown – QUES, Simons – OUT

DFS Targets

Tre Mann, Theo Maledon, Isaiah Roby, Poku, Vit Krecji, Keon Johnson, Greg Brown
