Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports – NBA DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Wednesday’s 8-game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the overnight point spreads, game and team totals along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.
PACERS (116) -1.5, 231 AT MAGIC (115)
Pacers (21-42) take on the Magic (15-47) which will be a rematch from Monday’s game where Orlando won 119-103. Magic ran a 12 man rotation where only Mo Bamba saw just over 30 minutes. Pacer’s expect Malcolm Brogdon to return but I suspect he will be limited to under 30 minutes. His return would have an impact on Tyrese Haliburton in Daily Fantasy formats.
IND – Chris Duarte, Lance Stephenson (Questionable)
ORL – Moritz Wagner (OUT)
DFS Targets
Jalen Suggs (GPP), Mo Bamba (GPP)

HORNETS (108) +3, 218 AT CAVALIERS (111)
Hornets (30-33) travel to Cleveland to take on the Cavalier’s (36-25) in what should be a highly competitive game as teams start to position for the playoffs. Cleveland is sound defensively and is not a team I look to attack. Opposing bigs continue to have success against the Hornets. Kevin Love is an intriguing tournament play who could go overlooked due to his limited minutes coming off the bench.
CHA – James Bouknight (OUT), Nick Richards, Jalen McDaniels (Doubtful)
CLE – Darius Garland (Questionable), Caris LeVert (OUT)
DFS Targets
Kevin Love (GPP), Jarrett Allen (GPP), Evan Mobley

KNICKS (107) +10.5, 224 AT 76ERS (118)
Knicks (25-36) are on the outside looking in and face a tough test against the 76ers (37-23). These teams just placed with Philly winning in the Garden 125-109. James Harden and Joel Embiid are 2-0 and now get to play in front of what should be a pumped up Philly crowd. I do not typically target players facing the Knicks but it is hard to ignore the numbers James Harden put up last game (29/10/16 & 5 Steals).
NYK – Nerlens Noel (Doubtful)
PHI – None
DFS Targets
James Harden (GPP), Joel Embiid (GPP), Julius Randle (GPP), RJ Barrett (GPP)

KINGS (115) +6, 236 AT PELICANS (121)
Kings (23-40) travel to New Orleans to face the Pelicans (25-36) in what should be a highly competitive game as both teams are fighting for play-in spots. Pelicans have been tough on opposing bigs and wings. Herb Jones, Jaxon Hayes, and Jonas Valanciunas gives them plenty of size and length which has been highly effective against opposing teams. Sacramento will need a big game out of De’Aaron Fox to get the win on the road here.
SAC – Richaun Holmes (Questionable)
NOP – None
DFS Targets
De’Aaron Fox (GPP), Domantas Sabonis (GPP), Trey Lyles, CJ McCollum, Herb Jones, Jaxson Hayes (GPP)

JAZZ (122) -14, 229 AT ROCKETS (108)
Jazz (38-22) travel to Houston in what should be an easy scrimmage against a tanking Rockets (15-46) squad. The main concern here is blowout risk as Houston continues to play zero defense. This game will not be a priority to target in Daily Fantasy formats but I wouldn’t talk anyone off of playing Donovan Mitchell.
UTA – None
HOU – Kevin Porter (Questionable), Eric Gordon (OUT)
DFS Targets
Donovan Mitchell (GPP), Jordan Clarkson (GPP)

HEAT (111) +4.5, 226 AT BUCKS (115)
Heat (41-21) take on the Bucks (37-25) in what should be the game of the night (to watch). Bucks are 2-4 in their last 6 games but they are coming off a convincing win over the Hornets. On the season, this series is even which must give Miami confidence as Jimmy Butler & Bam Adebayo were out in both games. Miami is 9-1 over their last 10 games and I expect this one to be very competitive.
MIA – Kyle Lowry, Markieff Morris (OUT), Caleb Martin (Questionable)
MIL – George Hill (OUT)
DFS Targets
Jimmy Butler (GPP), Bam Adebayo (GPP), Gabe Vincent
THUNDER (105) +14, 225 AT NUGGETS (120)
Thunder (19-42) travel to Denver in what will be a tall task against the Nuggets (36-25). Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets have won 8 of their last 9 games and appear to be battling for a better playoff spot. Nikola Jokic is always a fine stud to consider but I am very concerned about a blowout here. Oklahoma City is running a 10-man rotation and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been playing out of his mind putting up back to back 60+ DraftKings point performances. One thing to note, Via Krejci got the start with Aaron Wiggins going out last game in the 2nd quarter.
OKC – Mike Muscala, Aaron Wiggins, Lu Dort, Kenrich Williams, Ty Jerome, Josh Giddey (OUT)
DEN – None
DFS Targets
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Aleksej Pokusevski, Tre Mann (GPP), Vit Krejci (GPP), Nikola Jokic (GPP)
BLAZERS (108) +13.5, 229 AT SUNS (121)
Blazers (25-36) are in the 11th spot in the West and will likely fall to 12th after facing the Suns (49-12). Phoenix expect Cameron Payne back tonight and he would instantly become a strong play in Daily Fantasy formats with Chris Paul out. Despite the big spread and blowout risk, I think we should have much interest in Cameron Payne, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.
POR – Justise Winslow (OUT)
PHX – Frank Kaminsky (OUT)
DFS Targets
Cameron Payne, Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker, Keon Johnson, Drew Eubanks, Anfernee Simons (GPP), Josh Hart (GPP)
