NBA DFS DAILY BREAKDOWN 3/14/2022 | RUN PURE SPORTS

Welcome everyone to your Run Pure Sports – NBA DFS Daily Breakdown. Today we will be previewing Monday’s 9-game slate in the NBA. The idea of this article will be to give you a quick glance at the games each day and provide the overnight point spreads, game and team totals along with overnight injury news and potential DFS targets.

CLIPPERS (102.25) +6.5, 211 vs CAVS (108.75)

The LA Clippers (36-34) travel to Cleveland to face the Cavs (38-29). The Clippers are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread, while the Cavs are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. The Clippers look locked into the playin tournament for the playoffs with the 8th seed. Reggie Jackson has been the catalyst for this team while PG and Leonard have been out. Its hard to play anyone here in DFS though as they play a ton of guys and this is one of the lowest totals on the slate tonight. The Cavs come into this game looking for a win to keep them in the 6 seed for the playoffs. Jarrett Allen continues to be out for them and Mobley has been ballin in his absense.

LAC – Kawhi Leonard, PG, Powell – OUT, Covington – QUES

Cleveland – Allen, Sexton – OUT, Levert, Markkanen, Rondo, Wade – QUES

DFS Targets

Darius Garland, Evan Mobley

NUGGETS (108.75) +2.5, 220 vs 76ERS (111.25)

The Denver Nuggets (40-28) head to Philly to take on Joel Embiid and the Sixers (41-25). The Nuggets are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread, while the 76ers are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. The Nuggets look to assert themselves as a legit contender in this game which features Nikola Jokic matching up against Joel Embiid, in a battle of potential MVPs. The 76ers are on a b2b and played an Overtime game yesterday. I wouldnt be shocked to see one of Harden/Embiid sit here.

Injury News

Denver – Gordon, Nnaji – QUES, Porter, Murray – OUT

Philly – Green – OUT

DFS Targets

Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid

TRAILBLAZERS (109.75) +13, 232.5 @ HAWKS (122.75)

The Trailblazers (26-40) head to Atlantato take on the Hawks (33-34). The Trailblazers are 4-1 in their last 5 games against the spread, while the Hawks are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread. I kinda like the Blazers to cover here with the Hawks on the back end of a b2b. This has been a lost season for the Blazers after losing Dame and Nurkic to injuries and trading CJ McCollum. Now their young guard Anfernee Simons has been out leaving Josh Hart and a cast of G leaguers to pick up the slack. The Hawks look locked into the playin tournament with the 9 seed. John Collins sat out yesterday and will likely be a game time decision today. if he misses again, Gallo and Huerter become better plays.

Injury News

Portland – Lillard, Nurkic, Simons, Winslow, Little, Bledsoe, Smith, Zeller, Ingles – OUT

Atlanta – Collins – QUES

DFS Targets

Trae Young, Drew Eubanks, John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Danillo Gallinari

HORNETS (120.25) -9, 231.5 vs THUNDER (111.25)

The Charlotte Hornets (33-35) travel to OKC to face the Thunder (20-47). The Hornets are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Thunder are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. The Hornets are clinging onto the last spot in the playin tournament with the 10 seed. Lamelo Ball contintues to play no more than 31 minutes which caps his upside significantly. Meanwhile Terry Rozier is averaging 36 minutes and has been shooting A TON. Mason Plumlee and Harrell continue to split the C minutes which make them unreliable. The Thunder are also on a b2b and they have a TON of guys already ruled out as they have been recently. They have lost their last 5 games. SGA has been the lone bright spot for this OKC team this season as he continues to will this team to keep games semi close. Bazley is coming off a monster game yesterday and gets an incredible matchup here.

Injury News

Charlotte – Hayward, Bouknight – OUT

OKC – Giddey, Dort, Jerome, Robinson-Earl, Muscala, Okpala – OUT, Wiggins, Williams, Favors- QUES

DFS Targets

SGA, Terry Rozier, Darius Bazley, Tre Mann, Theo Maledon

TIMBERWOLVES (121.75) -5.5, 238 vs SPURS (116.25)

The Timberwolves (39-30) travel to San Antonio to face the Spurs (26-42). The Timberwolves 1-4 in their last 5 games against the spread, while the Spurs are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread. Looks as if the Wolves will have both DLO and ANTMAN for this matchup versus the Spurs. That kinda muddies the waters for DFS purposes. The Spurs are coming off a game where they rested EVERYONE. Dejounte Murray is a complete stud and should be rested for this matchup. I like him even more if PAT BEV gets ruled out. Also like Lonnie Walker in this spot.

Injury News

Minnesota – Edwards – PROB, Beverley, Reid, Mclaighlin – QUES, Vanderbilt – OUT

San Antonio – Bates-Diop, Mcdermott – OUT, Cacok – OUT

DFS Targets

Dejounte Murray, Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, Lonnie Walker

BUCKS (118.75) -2, 235.5 @ JAZZ (116.75)

The Milwaukee Bucks (42-26) head to Utah to face the Jazz (42-25). The Bucks are 4-1 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Jazz are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread. This is the Marquee matchup of the slate featuring 2 teams with Championship aspirations. The Bucks are looking to get back in the Win column after losing to the Warriors on Saturday. This game is full of Fantasy goodness and might be my favorite game to target. Giannis is the premier spend on this slate and I dont hate Middleton and or Jrue if not playing Giannis. Brook Lopez will be making his return to the lineup for the first time since October. The Bucks are currently 2.5 games back of the Heat for the top seed in the east. For the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is in an incredible spot as shooters destroy the Bucks.I also like Bojan a ton in this spot at his cheap price on DK.

Injury News

Milwaukee – Bembry – OUT, Wigginton – OUT

Utah – Gobert, Forrest – QUES, Azubuike – OUT

DFS Targets

Giannis, Donovan Mitchell. Jrue Holiday, Bojan Bogdanovic, Grayson Allen

WIZARDS (106.5) +12.5, 225.5 @ WARRIORS (119)

The Washington Wizards (29-37) head to GS to face the Warriors (46-22). The Wizards are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Warriors are 4-1 in their last 5 games against the spread. The Wizards arent playing for anything as they are all but out of the playoff race. I dont have any interest in this Wizards team in DFS tonight as Kuzma is priced too high and Porzingis is still on a minutes limit. The same can be said for the Warriors. Klay Thompson is 7800, YUK!!  Draymond Green is also expected to make his return to this game further muddying the waters. This will be a cross off game for me.

Injury News

Washinton – Beal – OUT

Golden State – Green – PROB, Payton, Iggy – OUT

DFS Targets

NONE

BULLS (119.5) -4.5, 234.5 @ KINGS (115)

The Chicago Bulls (41-26) head to Sacramento to face the Kings (24-45). The Bulls are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Kings are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread. This is an incredible matchup for the Bulls. NIkola Vucevic might be a priority play for me on this slate at his cheap 8500 pricetag. Alex Caruso made his return in the last game and played 29 minutes. I like him here at only 4200. Ayo Dosunmu is also in play for me. Demar Derozan continues to be a 50 spot but is more suited for cash games IMO. On the other side, De’Aaron Fox is priced to the gills and with Caruso back for the Bulls I dont have any interest there. I would prefer to go to Sabonis in this matchup versus Vucevic.

Injury News

Chicago – Lavine – QUES, Ball – OUT, Williams – OUT

Sacramento – Davis – OUT, Holiday – QUES, Len – QUES

DFS Targets

Demar Derozan, Domantas Sabonis, Nikola Vucevic, Ayo Dosunmu, Alex Caruso

RAPTORS (114.75) -5, 224.5 @ LAKERS (109.75)

The Toronto Raptors (37-30) head to LA to face the Lakers (29-38). The Raptors are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the spread while the Lakers are 2-3 in their last 5 games against the spread. Gimme the Raptors to beat this AWFUL Lakers team. They are playing to get out of the playin tournament and are 1 game out of the 6 seed in the East. Pascal Siakam is a bit cheap for this matchup versus the hapless Lakers. Scottie Barnes is priced up but he has taken on some more ball handling as FVV dealing with Knee soreness. On the Lakers side, it would only be Lebron for me, but I wont have any as I like other studs more.

Injury News

Toronto – FVV – QUES, Flynn – OUT, Anunoby – OUT

LAL – Davis – OUT

DFS Targets

Pascall Siakam, Lebron James, Scottie Barnes
