Anthony Davis lead the way for The Lakers to steal Game 1 in San Francisco.

The first game between Los Angeles and Golden State provided insights into how each team could secure a series win. Their differing styles were apparent in Game 1.

The Warriors sought to make the most of their 3-point shooting prowess by taking 53 shots from beyond the arc, playing at a high tempo, and exhausting the Lakers with their movement. In contrast, the Lakers planned to wear down the Warriors’ defense in the half-court, efficiently execute fast breaks, depending on the offensive skills of Anthony Davis, and utilize their size and strength to overpower the Warriors on both offense and defense.

While the Lakers strategy ultimately proved to be the superior one in Game 1, that kind of offensive output is not sustainable for the Lakers.

Game 2

Considering how terrible the Warriors are on the road, Golden State must pick up this win at home before heading south to LA. There is no way this team can come back from a 0-2 deficit on the road. Therefore, it is imperative that they pick up the dub tonight, and seeing how things went in Game 1, they shouldn’t need much adjusting.

Golden State -6 (-110)

Curry’s 26 points was the lowest total he has accumulated in these playoffs, the Warriors will need more out of him if they are going to be victorious.

Curry Over 30.5 Points (-120)
Curry Under 0.5 Steals (+165)

On the Los Angeles side of things, they will look for D’Angelo to continue his high production. Since coming to the Lakers, he has averaged 17 points per game and put up 17+ points in five of the seven playoff games he has played. However, he will need another stellar performance if they want a chance of picking up another win.

D'Angelo Russell Over 15.5 Points (-115)
