The Miami Heat return from break with a visit to Fiserv Forum. The Heat are trying to reestablish themselves as a top team in the East. Miami is currently seventh in the standings, but with Brooklyn expected to make a quick fall from grace, with just a couple of wins, the Heat could be in the top five.
Milwaukee sits half a game behind Boston for the number one slot in the Eastern Conference. It feels like it is these two and everyone else, so the Bucks will want to catch and surpass Boston so they can have home court advantage in the Easter Conference Finals.
With Giannis questionable in this one, the Bucks are just a point-and-a-half favorite. This line makes no sense for a team that is head and shoulders above their opponent. Giannis carries this team, but even without him, they should be able to take care of the Heat at home. The Bucks are a safe play and an even better play if Giannis ends up playing. Sacramento picked up a nice win against the Trail Blazers last night, and now they head down to the Crypto.com Arena to take on the Clippers today. The Kings covered as a (-6.5) favorite yesterday, and they find themselves a (+6.5) underdog today.
Playing on a back-to-back makes it a tough spot for the Kings, especially given that it’s the Clippers’ first game back from break.
Looking at the injury report, which is always necessary when handicapping a Clippers game, Ivica Zubac is the only name showing up for LA. So with George Leonard ready to go, the Clippers should give the Kings some trouble tonight.
When the Clippers win, they cover. So while this steep spread will make a bettor think. It will come down to who wins outright.
