Jaden Ivey has been the only bright spot in Detroit’s dismal season. He will need significant development, as he’s averaging under five assists a game, but his shooting looks strong. Nevertheless, Ivey could be a prominent part of this Pistons’ organization for years to come.

As for the game at hand, things look bleak as the Pistons have been run over all season, and the Celtics continue to be the best team in the East.

The Pistons’ have lost five of their eight by 20 or more points, and their only close games came against teams that played twice. So seeing that this is the Celtics’ first game of the year against Detroit, they should run roughshod over them.

Boston -12.5 (-110)

This game will become out of hand quickly, so guys like Smart and Tatum will not see the minutes they typically do. As a result, bettors can expect some bench players to pad their stats.

Malcolm Brogdon is the guy bettors should have their eye on tonight. He has had several 20+ point games and is shaping up to be a real contributor in Boston this year. Don’t sleep on him for sixth man of the year (+1600).

Malcom Brogdon Over 14.5 Points (-120)

Phoenix Suns @ Minnesota Timberwolves

After boldly proclaiming Phoenix to be the lock of the night on Monday, they received a whoomphing courtesy from the Philadelphia 76ers. It was an embarrassing showing by the Suns, only putting up 88 points, but it’s a long season and upsets happen.

The only good thing about that loss is that bettors can expect a big bounce back tonight. The Suns are in Minnesota tonight, facing a struggling team that has lost four of their last five.

Phoenix is dealing with some injuries, but they should be able to cover a short spread against a Timberwolves team that is .500 at home.

Phoenix -1.5 (-110)

Minnesota has been putting up points, and the total in their last four games has been an average of 229. but Phoenix’s offense is struggling, and their defense has been playing hard, as the total has been 202 in their last four. So bettors should bank on the total being somewhere in the middle, making for an easy under.

Under 222.5 (-110)
