Monday Night Football – Best Bets | Week 15

Rams @ Packers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (12) and quarterback Jordan Love (10) listen to head coach Matt LaFleur during the fourth quarter of their game Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill. The Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears 28-19.

The LA Rams head to the Frozen Tundra to take on the Packers. This is yet another primetime game that looked great at the start of the season but has turned into one of the most inconsequential games of Week 15.

While the Rams have no real chance at the playoffs, a loss here would mathematically eliminate them. This team has been just terrible, and given that they have traded all their future picks, the Rams may be bad for quite a long time.

As for the Packers, they would need a lot to go their way to make the postseason, but you can never count out Aaron Rodgers. After this game, the Packers close out their season with the Dolphins, Vikings, and Lions. So not only is winning out highly improbable but receiving the other necessary breaks would be almost impossible.

While this isn’t an exciting game, it’s still football, we’re still going to watch, and we still want to win money.

This is by far the worst season that Rodgers has ever had, all of his stats are down, and for the fourth time in his career, he likely won’t be in the playoffs.

Rodger’s passing prop in this game doesn’t make sense. It sits at 229 yards, and he has not eclipsed that number since Week 9. The secondary is one of the few strong areas of the Rams, so there is no way Rodgers will hit that number today.

Aaron Rodgers Under 228.5 Passing Yards

Green Bay has the second-best pass defense in the league, only the Eagles’ secondary ranks higher.

So while people think Baker Mayfield is having a rebirth in Los Angeles, that is not what’s happening, and the Packers will put him in his place.

Baker Mayfield Under 193.5 Passing Yards

Overall there won’t be many points in the game, so the under is a tremendous play. I don’t have a strong read on the spread, but it’s hard to imagine either of these teams winning by a large margin, so I’ll ride with the Rams.

LA +7.5 (-110) & Under 39.5 (-110)
