A very nice 8 game slate on tap for tonight!!!  We need to keep an eye on the weather in the PIT/ATL and CHC/NYM games! Let’s dive into the MLB DFS Daily Breakdown!

4 Pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Spencer Strider – 12.8DK – Absolute NUKE spot for Strider here. The Pirates have struck out the 2nd most vs righties over the last month. Strider has an insane 2.11 xFIP, massive 42% strikeout rate and a miniscule 4% walk rate over the last 5 weeks. Always has the highest ceiling on any slate.
  2. Gerrit Cole – 11.3DK – Another amazing spot for a STUD pitcher here for Cole in Chicago against the awful White Sox. Over the last 5 weeks, Cole has a 2.71 xFIP, 32% k rate and a 4% walk rate. The White Sox have been the WORST offense in MLB over the last 2 weeks and the last month. All in spot here.
  3. Freddy Peralta – 9.6DK –  Another absolutely amazing spot here for Freddy at home against the hapless Rockies. Over the last 5 weeks, he has a 2.97 xFIP, 36% k rate and a 8% walk rate. The Rockies have been the 2nd worst offense in baseball vs righties over the last month.
  4. Drew Smyly – 6.8DK – I think most will click Dane Dunning in Oakland tonight, but I think Smyly outscores him here in this spot. The Mets are just plain awful. Over the last 30 days the projected lineup has a 085 ISO, 253 WOBA and a massive 28% k rate vs lefties. Over the last month, Smyly has a 3.80 xFIP, 27% k rate and a 8% walk rate. LOVE him here.

3 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. Atlanta Braves – The Braves are facing Bido and the awful Pirates pen here. Not much else to say here. Load up on Olson, Albies, Harris first then Acuna, Riley, Murphy.
  2. Texas Rangers –  The Rangers get Waldichuck and the awful Athletics here. Too bad Josh Jung is now on the IL with a broken thumb. I still like this lineup though as Seager should be back in there after a day off yesterday.
  3. Kansas City Royals – The Royals are on absolute FIRE recently. They have been a top 5 offense against righties over the last 2 weeks. Witt, Melendez, Massey, Waters and Isbel are the priorities here.
