    Five Pitchers to Consider
  1. Spencer Strider, $12,700 (DK) vs San Francisco – Strider had a rare bad outing 2 starts ago in Pittsburgh but bounced back with a solid start in New York last time out. He tossed seven scoreless innings allowing just 3 hits and had 6 strikeouts. He draws a solid matchup here at home against a Giants offense who rank 27th in the league in strikeouts.
  2. Pablo Lopez, $10,600 (DK) vs Pittsburgh – Lopez has been red hot in the month of August. Over his 3 starts, he is 3-0 (all on the road) giving up just one earned run over 19 innings of work with 20 strikeouts. He hasn’t given up a single run over his last 13 innings. The Pirates have struck out 2nd most in baseball over the past two weeks.
  3. Michael Lorenzen, $9,200 (DK) @ Washington – Lorenzen is coming off a 124-pitch no-hitter against Washington. He has had 9 days to rest and should be ready to run it back against the same Nationals team, this time in Nationals Park. In his 2 starts with the Phillies since he was acquired at the trade deadline, Lorenzen is 2-0 and has given up just two earned runs with 10 strikeouts.
  4. JP France, $8,700 (DK) vs Seattle – France has been one of the best pitchers in baseball over the past month. In his last 5 starts, he is 5-0 and has given up 2 earned runs or less in each start. He doesn’t provide that big strikeout upside we are normally looking for but faces a Seattle offense that ranks dead last in strikeouts over the past 30 days.
  5. Kyle Gibson, $8,200 (DK) @ Oakland – Looking for a big bounce back game here for Gibson as he was roughed up in his last start in Seattle. He draws a much more favorable matchup on the road in Oakland.

    Five Stacks to Consider

  1. Philadelphia Phillies vs Joan Adon (R) – Love the way this Phillies offense lines up here against Joan Adon. You can play them 1-9 with the studs up top and also have a couple value pieces at the bottom for a nice wrap a round stack.
  2. Colorado Rockies vs Michael Kopech (R) – Coors Field with a game total sitting at 12 as I write this article. Kopech has given up 13 runs over his last 4 starts including 6 home runs and now has to pitch in Coors Field. Will be a popular stack tonight.
  3. Minnesota Twins vs Andre Jackson (R) – Jackson struggled in his MLB debut last week against Cincinnati. Minnesota will be one of the more affordable stacks tonight. Outside of Jorge Polanco and Carlos Correa they are all priced under $4,000 making them easy to pair with a more expensive stack.
  4. Chicago White Sox vs Peter Lambert (R) – The other side of the Coors Field game. This White Sox offense has struggled most of the year but look good here in this matchup against Peter Lambert. Luis Robert is $5,700 but DK did a terrible job of pricing up the rest of the lineup.
  5. St. Louis Cardinals vs Joey Lucchesi (L) – Lucchesi was recalled from AAA to start tonight in St. Louis. He hasn’t pitched since mid-July and might be on a short leash here in a tough matchup going into St. Louis. The Cardinals projected lineup has 9 right-handed batters in it.
