    Five Pitchers to Consider

  1. Andrew Abbott, $9,900 (DK) @ Milwaukee Brewers – So far so good for Reds rookie Andrew Abbott over his first 6 major league starts. The numbers may point to regression coming but he draws another solid matchup tonight in Milwaukee. In his last 3 starts he has even shown the strikeout upside with 30 strikeouts combined against the Padres, Orioles and Rockies.
  2. Zac Gallen, $9,600 (DK) vs Pittsburgh Pirates – Probably my favorite pitcher on the slate as I am writing this article. He draws a solid home matchup against the Pirates. Last time out he tied a season-high with 12 strikeouts against the Angels. It was his 4th double-digit strikeout game on the year.
  3. Luis Castillo, $9,400 (DK) @ Houston Astros – Castillo is just too cheap here in a nice matchup in Houston who are without  Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve. He has an impressive 114:28 K/BB ratio and will get possibly 7-8 right-handed batters in this Astros lineup.
  4. Justin Verlander, $8,600 (DK) vs San Diego Padres – I’m not afraid of this Padres offense right now and Verlander has been solid lately just hasn’t gotten the run support. He didn’t give up an earned run in each of his last two starts against San Francisco and Milwaukee. Solid price tag here.
  5. Dylan Cease, $8,500 (DK) vs St. Louis Cardinals – Another nice mid-range option here tonight as Cease faces the Cardinals at home. He has pitched much better than his 3-3 record would indicate as he hasn’t gotten the run support. He has 19+ fantasy points in 5 of his last 6 starts and has racked up 47 strikeouts during that stretch.

    Five Stacks to Consider

  1. Boston Red Sox vs Luis Medina (R) – One of the best hitting environments tonight is in Fenway Park where we have a 10.5 game total. This will be one of the cheaper 5-man stacks as no one is priced over $5,000 for the Red Sox. Rafael Devers is way too cheap here at $4,900.
  2. Los Angeles Dodgers vs Griffin Canning (R) – The Freeway Series continues tonight in Los Angeles, this time at Dodger Stadium. Canning gave up 5 earned in his last start against Arizona in a 6-2 loss. Tough spot here vs Freddie Freeman and the Dodgers offense.
  3. Texas Rangers @ Trevor Williams (R) – The Reds are coming off a 4-game sweep in Washington and now the powerful Rangers offense comes to DC. Trevor Williams has lasted more than 6 innings just once in his last 6 starts. Love this Texas lineup from top to bottom here.
  4. New York Yankees vs Jameson Taillon (R) – I haven’t mentioned the Yankees in this space in a quite a while but tonight they make for a nice play. Jameson Taillon returns to Yankees Stadium and he comes in awful form. The veteran right-hander has been hit hard all year, giving up 4 runs or more in 9 of his 14 starts.
  5. Oakland A’s @ Bernardino/Walters – I mentioned that I like the game environment in Fenway tonight. The A’s are cheap and can provide us with a solid mini stack and are dirt cheap like always. I also like Washington for a cheap mini stack as well.
