Five Pitchers to Consider

1. Dylan Cease. $9,800 (DK) vs Detroit – Cease has been on quite a roll recently and draws the NUT matchup tonight at home against the Tigers. Over his last seven starts Cease has only allowed two earned runs over 39 innings of work. Sign me up!!!

2. Joe Musgrove, $9,700 (DK) @ San Francisco – The Giants have lost six of their last seven games and the offense has really been struggling at the plate. Musgrove on the other hand, has been one of the more consistent fantasy pitchers in 2022. He faced the Giants back in May in San Francisco and put up seven scoreless innings. Love the matchup and ball park here.

3. Spencer Strider, $8,500 (DK) vs St. Louis – Strider has been solid in his rookie season in the Braves’ rotation. He has double-digit strikeouts in two of his last four starts and is coming off his best start of the season against the Reds giving up only one earned run with a season-high 11 strikeouts.

4. Tony Gonsolin, $9,400 (DK) vs Chicago – Gonsolin has been incredible so far this season and is coming off one of his best starts of the year when he beat San Diego 5-1. In that game he put up a season-high 32.9 DK points and became the first National League pitcher to reach 10 wins. He draws a nice home matchup tonight against the Cubs.

5. Jordan Lyles, $6,900 (DK) vs LA Angels – I always like to give at least one mid-lower tier guy you can go to if you needed to save and tonight it’s Jordan Lyles. This Angels team outside of Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani have really struggled lately and have been striking out a ton.

*** You can always play Gerrit Cole ($10,200) on any slate and he is fine, I just prefer other spots tonight rather than attacking the Red Sox in Fenway Park.

Five Stacks to Consider

1. Atlanta Braves vs Matthew Liberatore (L) – This Braves team has been crushing all year and possess the power upside we are looking for. Liberatore was unable to get out of the second inning in his last start in Philadelphia and I could see a similar result tonight in Truist Park. I like the right-handed bats here but I will also use Olson lefty/lefty in my stacks.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers vs Mark Leiter Jr. (R) – Leiter was able to fill in nicely in his last start (for the injured Alec Mills) when he went five innings in a win over Boston. I think he comes back a little tonight in a tougher matchup on the road in Los Angels against the Dodgers. They will get ownership but the Dodgers are a nice stack tonight and you can go 1-9 in the order.

3. Chicago White Sox vs Beau Brieske (R) – The White Sox welcomed Eloy Jimenez back to the lineup yesterday and are starting to get a little healthier. Jimenez was 3-5 with a homer in his return. This is a team that, when healthy, have a lot of power and upside on a nightly basis. Beau Brieske has struggled with his control at times and has given up 14 home runs this year.

4. Colorado Rockies vs Dallas Keuchel (L) – The Rockies just saw Keuchel five days ago in Coors Field and it didn’t go very well for him. He gave up six earned runs over five innings and I look for much the same tonight with a team total north of 5 runs. The return of Kris Bryant has given the offense a much needed boost. He is 9 for 21 (.429) over his last seven games.

5. New York Mets vs Daniel Castano (L) – Castano started the season in the Miami bullpen but will be making his 4th straight start tonight in New York. I like the way the Mets bats lineup here especially from the right-handed side. Pete Alonso will be one of my favorite plays on the board tonight.
