Welcome to RUN PURE SPORTS – MLB DFS Daily Breakdown. If you are not a member, come check us out!!!

Let’s dive into the MLB DFS Daily Breakdown!  We have a massive 12 game slate on this fine Tuesday evening! There are a few games to watch for weather but only 1 in real risk. That is the MIN/CHW game. Boston would be the next spot that is a little shaky. Get in the discord to see how we handle the weather!

5 pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Luis Garcia – 9.5DK – He will be MEGA on Draftkings tonight and will be the highest owned on FD as well as he gets a home matchup versus the Royals. He has a 26% strikeout rate along with a 3.56 SIERA on the season.
  2. Yusei Kikuchi – 7.8DK – Man really tough for me to play him here but he does have the highest striekout rate on the slate over the last month but also has the 2nd highes hr/9, highest EV allowed and highest barrell %. The ultimate boom bust guy here facing the Athletics.
  3. Nick Pivetta – 10.3DK  – Never would have thought I would be suggesting a 10K nick pivetta but here we are. Tampa Bay has the 2nd highest strikeout rate versus RHP since 6/15. NIck has a 24% strikeout rate along with a 3.99 SIERA.
  4. Cal Quantrill – 8.3DK – He gets the Tigers matchup tonight. They have the 5th lowest wRC+ since 5/15 versus RHP. Def not an exciting roster but the pitcher options are limited tonight even with the massive slate.
  5. Spencer Howard – 5.7DK – Former top prospect with the Phillies. Has been destroying AAA this season. Is coming off a 7 inning 1 hit 11 strikeout performance. Threw 93 pitches.

5 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. Toronto Blue Jays – I absolutely despise the park but the spot cant get much better here versus Adrian Martinez. He has a 547 xSLG and a 375 ISO allowed versus RHB this season. This is a lineup full of right-handed bats and should smash here.
  2. Philadelphia Phillies  – They get the awful Poalo espino and the even worse Nationals bullpen at home tonight. It is also going to be humid with 12 mph wind blowing to dead center.
  3. Houston Astros – They are getting the houdini man himself in Zack Greinke. He has a 499 xSLG versus left-handed batters this season. I will bet on the talent of the Astros hitters here to crush Grienke.
  4. San Francisco Giants – This Tyler Gilbert feller. O BOY. He has a 435 ISO and a 818 xSLG versus right-handed batters this season. Love this lineup top to bottom tonight.
  5. St. Louis Cardinals – Ian Anderson is going to die a slow an painful death tonight as the Cardinals righties tee off on him. Anderson has given up a 517 SLG and 209 ISO versus right-handed batters this season.
