MLB DFS DAILY BREAKDOWN – 7/26/2023

We have a small 5 game slate on tap for tonight!!  There are NO WEATHER issues!!! Let’s dive into the MLB DFS Daily Breakdown!

3 Pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Spencer Strider – 12.7DK – As of this writing, I am seeing QUADZILLA as the 5th highest owned pitcher on this small slate with only 10 pitchers. WOW!! I’m in!!! Dude has the highest ceiling of any pitcher in the bigs. Core piece for me tonight!
  2. Framber Valdez – 10.9DK – Similiar to Strider, he will be forgotten about a bit tonight. Love getting these studs low owned on small slates. Over the last 5 weeks, he has a 2.99 xFIP, 27% k rate and a 6% walk rate. Will be overweight here.
  3. Lance Lynn- 7.7DK –  Will be chalkier tonight, but not as high as Alex Wood or Carlos Rodon who I DONT LIKE!! He struggles with lefty power bats, and the Cubs really only have 1 of those in Cody Bellinger. Over the last 5 weeks, he has a 3.95 xFIP, 27% k rate and a 8% walk rate.

3 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. Houston Astros – I LOVE attacking Andrew Heaney. I dont think he is good at all and he has real issues with right-handed bats. This Houston team is loaded with them and they will likely have 7 in the lineup tonight.
  2. Oakland Athletics –  Absolutely LOVE the Athletics tonight as I will most likely be double spending at pitcher and need a cheap team to stack. I am seeing Alex Wood as the highest owned pitcher on tonight’s slate!! WOOOF!! I know this team is bad, but this is an awesome leverage spot.
  3. NY Mets – The Mets are kind of cheap and Rodon has been very bad since coming off the IL. He is allowing over 50% HC to both sides of the plate. Alonso snapped out his funk last night hitting 2 bombs.
