We have a nice 8 game slate on tap for tonight!!  There are zero weather issues!! Let’s dive into the MLB DFS Daily Breakdown!

Detroit Tigers pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (57) throws a pitch against the Oakland Athletics during the third inning at Comerica Park in Detroit on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

3 Pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Eduardo Rodriguez – 9.5DK – Erod has been fantastic since making his return. He has struck out 7 in each start and now he gets the Royals. Over his first 2 starts he has a massive 36% k rate, 5% walk rate and a 2.98 xFIP. The Royals have struck out the most in the league vs lefties over the last month.
  2. Luis Castillo – 9.3DK – Most likely the chalkiest pitcher on the slate tonight in a pristine matchup. I will be underweight or will full fade him here. His last 30 numbers haven’t been good as he has a 4.66 xFIP, only a 20% k rate and a 7% walk rate. I prefer to attack Minny with lefties.
  3. Ryan Yarbrough – 5.5DK – We are going to need a cheap option on this slate to fit some bats, and Yarbrough is my guy. it could be a Erod/Yarbrough pitcher game stack for me tonight. The Tigers are just plain awful and Yarbrough looke really good in his return last start. He went 6 innings, 1 ER and 5 Ks against the Guardians. Now he gets the K happy Tigers at home here. LOVE HIM.

3 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. Atlanta Braves – Such an insane game last night, and my Braves scored 13 but still didn’t get the W. I will be going right back tonight. The Arizona pen was heavily used last night and Ryne Nelson isnt good to either side of the plate. Almost an all in spot for me here.
  2. Cincinnati Reds –  Love going right back to the Reds who were all under 5% last night which I though was crazy. They will def be higher owned here in this spot against Ross Stripling. Def prefer the lefties, but don’t intentionally leave the righties out of your stacks.
  3. New York Mets – I don’t care what the advanced numbers says for Toussaint. He ISNT GOOD. This Mets team exploded for 11 runs last night and could be similar here tonight. I def prefer the lefties here but Alvarez hit a double dong last night and def needs to be in your stacks.
