Welcome to RUN PURE SPORTS – MLB DFS Daily Breakdown. If you are not a member, come check us out!!!

Let’s dive into the MLB DFS Daily Breakdown!  We have a massive 14 game slate on tap for tonight! We need to watch for weather in the following games: CIN/NYY, SEA/WSN and MIL/MIN.

5 pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Gerrit Cole – 10.5DK – I will likely have him in every lineup I make tonight on both sites as long as the weather is good. Just a completely smash spot at home versus the hapless Reds here. He has a massive 32.5% strikeout rate along with a 3.15 SIERA over the last 30 days. The Reds have struck out the most versus RHP over the last couple of weeks, and have been a bottom 3 offense.
  2. Spencer Strider – 9.8DK – DraftKings finally put some respect to his name here! Finally priced as a stud as he should be. He is still a bit cheap on FD at only 9100. He has the highest strikeout rate on the slate at 42.5%!!! He also owns the lowest SIERA at a very impressive 1.81 over the last 30 days.
  3. Dylan Cease – 9.7DK  – Has just been fantastic this season. He ha the 2nd highest strikeout rate on the slate at 38% and has a 2.51 SIERA over the last month. Has gone 100 pitches in each of his last 8 starts.
  4. Josiah Gray – 8.7DK – Not totally thrilled at the price here, but man he has been really good over the last month. He has a 29% strikeout rate along with a 3.28 SIERA. The Mariners have struck out the 5th most versus RHP over the last couple of weeks and have been a bottom 10 offense.
  5. David Peterson – 8.2DK – I normally don’t like to target the Braves with LHP but the price is nice here on Peterson. He has also been pretty good lately sporting a 32% strikeout rate along with a 2.78 SIERA over the last month.

5 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. San Diego Padres – They were the mega chalk last night and put up 6 runs. They own the highest implied total on the slate yet again here versus Austin Gomber.
  2. New York Yankees  – They have a massive 5.6 implied total here against the rookie Ashcraft. Will Matt Carpenter continue to smash???
  3. Los Angeles Dodgers – Facing Liberatore here in St. Louis. He is giving up a massive 93.4 AVG EV and a massive 51.4 HH% over the last 30 days. Mookie Betts and Will Smith are my faves here.
  4. Texas Rangers – Facing the AWFUL James Kaprielien. Over the last month he has a walk rate of 14% and a strikeout rate of 13%. That is never good. He also has a massive 5.92 SIERA. Love the full stack here.
  5. Milwaukee Brewers – The Brewers has been a top 3 offense against RHP over the past couple of weeks and get Josh Winder here tonight. Over the last month he has a massive 5.87 SIERA.
