    Five Pitchers to Consider

  1. Gerrit Cole, $11,000, (DK) vs Boston Red Sox – The Cole Train was cruising in his last start in Los Angeles before leaving after 6 innings due to cramping. He gave up just one run picking up the win. I like the price tag here on Cole against a Boston team that I don’t mind attacking away from Fenway Park.
  2. Shohei Ohtani, $10,400 vs Seattle Mariners – Ohtani is coming off a rough start in Houston where he gave up 9 hits and 5 earned runs in six innings of work. I look for a big bounce-back game here tonight against Seattle, a team he beat back on April 5th in Seattle.
  3. Tyler Wells, $8,300 (DK) vs KC Royals – If you are looking in the mid-range tonight, Tyler Wells is one of my favorite plays in a nice home matchup against Kansas City. He is coming off a solid start in San Francisco where he picked up the win striking out a season-high 9 batters.
  4. Logan Allen, $7,700 (DK) vs Houston Astros – Another solid mid-range option tonight is Logan Allen in a tougher matchup at home against the Astros. He is coming off back-to-back road wins in Minnesota and Baltimore where he allowed just 2 earned runs over 13 innings. He struck out a season-high 10 in the win over Baltimore. The Astros may be without slugger Yordan Alvarez who left last night’s game in Toronto (right oblique).
  5. Adrian Houser, $6,000 (DK) vs Oakland A’s – We love targeting this Oakland offense and Houser feels way too cheap here given the nice matchup at home. He is coming off a win in Cincinnati where he gave up just one earned run over 7 innings. Matchup and price point play here.

    Five Stacks to Consider

  1. San Diego Padres vs Austin Gomber (L) – The Padres will travel to Coors Field and be the chalky offense on the slate against a struggling Austin Gomber. The lefty has given up 21 earned runs over his last 5 starts (23 innings). They are expensive but are in a smash spot.
  2. Los Angeles Dodgers vs Ranger Suarez (L) – Nice spot for the Dodgers here on the road in one of the best hitting environments tonight in Citizens Bank Park. The top part of this lineup is expensive but they have value pieces you can use as part of a wrap a around stack.
  3. Atlanta Braves vs Josiah Gray (R) – The Braves offense is rolling right now and they are coming off a sweep of the New York Mets. Ozzie Albies walked it off last night in dramatic fashion with a 3-run HR as they rallied from 8-3 down. They carry that momentum over here tonight vs Josiah Gray.
  4. Philadelphia Phillies vs Michael Grove (R) – Another stack that will get some attention tonight on a slate that has several spots to go to for offense. In a short sample, Michael Grove hasn’t been very good this year and now has to face the power bats of Harper & company.
  5. New York Mets vs Rich Hill (L) – The Mets are coming off a tough loss late last night to the Atlanta Braves. I look for them to bounce back in a big way here in Pittsburgh against the veteran Rich Hill. Rookie Francisco Alvarez has 3 home runs in his last two games.
