    Three Pitchers to Consider

  1. Spencer Strider, $12,000 (DK) vs NY Mets – As we like to say Happy Spencer Strider Day. He enters with a 6-2 record and has won back-to-back games in Arizona and against Philadelphia. His only real flaw recently has been walks and has given up a few home runs. He is tied for the lead in strikeouts with 113 (Gausman). Strong play here tonight vs the Mets at home.
  2. Framber Valdez, $10,400 (DK) @ Toronto Blue Jays – Valdez has been in peak form over the last 3 starts as he has allowed only one earned run in his last 22 innings. He lowered his era to 2.17 which is 4th best in the majors. He continues to be the ace of this Astros pitching staff.
  3. Reid Detmers, $6,500 (DK) vs Chicago Cubs – If you want to spend down tonight with your SP2 and save some salary for bats, Detmers is a nice choice here at home vs the Cubs. He has shown upside recently when he struck out 12 Minnesota Twins and put up 28 fantasy points.

    Three Stacks to Consider

  1. Los Angeles Angels vs Drew Smyly (L) – Smyly has given up 18 hits and 10 earned runs over his last 3 starts and heading in the wrong direction. I like the way this Angels lineup looks with the return of Anthony Rendon. The duo of Mike Trout & Shohei Ohtani have combined for 30 home runs thus far in the season. They did place Hunter Renfroe on the paternity list yesterday.
  2. Atlanta Braves vs Justin Verlander (R) – Verlander pitched well in his last outing against Toronto striking out a season-high 8 over six innings. His issue has been consistency though in his 6 starts so far this season. In his 3 losses he has “negative” fantasy points in two of them and has allowed 14 earned runs in those 3 starts. Ronald Acuna Jr has been on fire this season. He is 2nd in the league in stolen bases with 28 and also ranks 2nd in runs scored with 52.
  3. Cleveland Indians vs Matt Dermody (L) – The 32-year old Matt Dermody with make his first MLB start tonight in Cleveland. In AAA, he has struggled for the most part this year but does have some strikeout upside as he has 47 in 44 innings. I’ll side with Jose Ramirez and the Indians bats in this spot..
