We have a nice little 7 game main slate on tap for tonight! There are no weather issues!! Let’s dive into the MLB DFS Daily Breakdown!

4 Pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Aaron Nola – 10.2DK – This pitching slate is very gross (to the public) . He will be by far the highest owned pitcher on this slate. He gets the hapless Tigers at home so you are going to have to decide if you are playing him tonight. This is his highest price on the season and he hasn’t been good at all. I am leaning to fade or be underweight here. Blake Snell is likely to be the 2nd highest owned on this slate and he is also someone I don’t want to pay 9.7DK for. He is averaging 13 DK on the season. I will be well underweight on both here.
  2. Braxton Garrett – 8.3DK – Will def come in behind Nola and Snell in ownership here in a home matchup against the Royals. He has the lowest xFIP on the slate at 3.32 and a nice 12.5% swinging strike rate. absolutely LOVE targeting this Royals team, especially AWAY from Kauffman.
  3. JP Sears – 7.6DK – Absolute stone nut matchup for Sears here. I have been targeting the Bucs with lefties all season and Sears is the Athletics best pitcher right now. He has a 12% swinging strike rate on the season. The Bucs have struck out the 13th most over the last 2 weeks and been a bottom 10 offense versus lefties. LOVE him tonight.
  4. Andrew Abbott – 4K – Stone PUNT here at min price. In 7 AAA starts he has 38 innings pitched, 54 strikeouts and a whip of 1.07. The Brew crew has struck out the MOST in the league versus lefties over the last month and been a bottom 5 offense.

3 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. Texas Rangers – Just 5 man this team on every slate regardless of ownership and you will be profitable over the course of the season. They are an absolute juggernaut. They get Adam Wainwright tonight who has been absolutely atrocious this season. Texas leads the league in runs scored and I’m expecting another big night for them.
  2. Houston Astros –  Alek Manoah is broken or something, or maybe he was never good??? I def prefer a lefty heavy lineup but the Astros should crush him tonight. He is allowing a 387 wOBA and a 203 ISO versus LHH, but is also allowing a 345 woba versus righties. Yordong is def going yard tonight.
  3. Toronto Blue Jays – I also like the Blue Jays here a ton. Bielak has been very reverse splits this season. He is allowing a 380wOBA and a 275 ISO versus right handed hitters on the season and this Jays lineup is loaded with power righties.
