MLB DFS DAILY BREAKDOWN – 6/13/2023

We have a MASSIVE 14 game main slate on tap for tonight! There is a high probability that the PIT/CHC game gets the old PPD before lock. That’s the only game I have concerns with weather wise! Let’s dive into the MLB DFS Daily Breakdown!

5 Pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Corbin Burnes – 9.9DK – Incredible spot for Burnes here against the Twinkies. The projected lineup has a MASSIVE 31.6% strikeout rate along with only a 307 woba versus right-handed pitching over the last 30 days. Burnes is coming off a ceiling performance is my only issue here, but I will still be overweight here. Over the last month, Burnes is only allowing a 271 woba versus left-handed hitters and the Twins have 5 of them on the projected lineup.
  2. Max Scherzer – 9.8DK – Another incredible spot here. Max gets the Yankees at home here with no Aaron Judge. The projected lineup has a 24% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching over the last 30 days. Max has a 3.39 xFIP along with a 29% strikeout rate and a low 3.5% walk rate since 5/1. He is likely the chalk SP1 on this slate.
  3. Pablo Lopez – 8.8DK – This is yet another handedness play. The Brewers have struck out the 6th most versus RHP over the last 2 weeks and been a bottom 5 offense. Lopez has a 26% strikeout rate and a 7% walk rate since 5/1. Should be a popular option as well tonight, but I expect the % to be somewhat spread out on this massive slate.
  4. Joe Musgrove – 7.8DK – The price on Joe is extremely too low here. While this Cleveland offense doesn’t strike out, they are still a bottom 10 overall offense in the league. Musgrove is coming off 3 very decent performances against the Mariners, Marlins and Yankees. I expect another 20DK here tonight.
  5. Chase Anderson – 5.3DK – I think I will be spending up for both my pitchers mostly tonight, but I don’t hate rolling out Chase Anderson here in Boston. Over the last 30 days he is only allowing a 103 iso and 242 woba versus left handed hitters and Boston is expected to roll out 6 of them here tonight. Large Field play only.

5 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. Houston Astros – Will no doubt be the chalk of the slate tonight going against Corbin. I do think the Red Sox will be the chalkiest stack on the slate, but I will be fading them once again. Corbin is allowing a 207 ISO and 426 WOBA versus right-handed hitters this season. Dubon, Bregman and Chas are my favorites here.
  2. Los Angeles Angels –  If it’s Cody Bradford pitching for the Rangers, O BOY!! in 10 innings since 5/1, he has a MASSIVE 94.5 avg ev allowed along with a massive 18.9% barrel %. Allowing a massive 379 ISO and 462 WOBA versus right-handed hitters. Ward, Trout, Urshela and Neto are my favs here.
  3. Los Angeles Dodgers – Lance Lynn has been getting annihilated by left handed hitters over the last month. He is allowing a massive 351 ISO and 523 WOBA against them with only a 6% strikeout rate. That’s a recipe for disaster against this Dodgers team at home.
  4. Cincinnati Reds – I do wish Fraley wasn’t on the IL here as Jordan Lyles has been getting destroyed by lefties. He is allowing a massive 283 ISO and 449 WOBA against them over the last month. SO the lefties here for Cincy are def the preference, but I also like India and McLain as well.
  5. Toronto Blue Jays – Kremer is allowing the highest hard hit rate on the slate since 5/1 at 50.8%. He has always been a reverse splits guy as well which suits this Blue Jays offense well. They only have 3 lefties in the projected lineup tonight. It starts with Vlad Guerrero as he is 6/19 with 4 bombs of of him.
