    Pitchers to Consider

  1. Clayton Kershaw, $10,800 (DK) @ San Diego Padres – It’s been “vintage” Clayton Kershaw the last four starts for Los Angeles. He is 4-0 his last four starts and has only given up 3 earned runs over 26 innings of work. He isn’t my favorite option tonight as he has a tough matchup in San Diego but a solid tournament option.
  2. Zack Wheeler, $10,600 (DK) vs Boston Red Sox – After a slow start to the season, Wheeler appears to be back in form. He is 3-0 in his last 3 start and has 18 strikeouts in his last two starts. Nice matchup here at home vs Boston who can struggle at times away from Fenway Park.
  3. Luis Castillo, $10,000 (DK) vs Houston Astros – After putting up a season-high 36.6 fantasy points against Colorado back on April 16th, Castillo has been just average in his last two starts. In his 4 starts at T-Mobile Park this season, Castillo is 2-0 and has given up just 3 earned runs in 23.2 innings with 24 strikeouts.
  4. Jordan Montgomery, $8,600 (DK) vs Detroit Tigers – Montgomery has run into some bad luck the last two starts (both losses) as the Cardinals offense was shutout in both games. The veteran lefty has only allowed one earned run in 12.2 innings in those two games with 13 strikeouts. Great matchup here tonight at home vs the Detroit offense.
  5. Max Fried, $8,200 (DK) vs Baltimore Orioles – I don’t like to pick on this Baltimore offense but they are on the road and Max Fried has been incredible so far this year. He is 2-0 with a 0.45 ERA after 4 starts and has allowed just one earned run. Similar to Kershaw, I’m going to just ride out the hot streak.
  6. Merrill Kelly, $6,800 (DK) vs Washington Nationals – If wanting to go down in the mid-lower tier tonight Merrill Kelly is in a great spot here at home vs the Nationals. He is 2-3 on the season but the record is a little deceiving as he has only had one bad start in his first five. He is just too cheap here in this matchup.

    Stacks to Consider

  1. New York Mets vs Antonio Senzatela (R) – The Mets are coming off a disappointing series in Detroit where they were swept and outscored 16-6. Antonio Senzatela is coming off ACL surgery (August 2022) and is making his 2023 debut. Mets bats wake up tonight in a great matchup.
  2. Atlanta Braves vs Dean Kremer (R) – Kremer has been awful his last two starts allowing 18 hits and 9 earned runs against Detroit and Boston. Now he has to go on the road in Truist Park in Atlanta. Sign me up for a full stack here. If Ronald Acuna sits it makes this stack even more affordable.
  3. St. Louis Cardinals vs Matt Boyd (L) – This St. Louis offense has beat me more times this year than I would like to admit. As disappointing as they have been I do think they eventually get things going as this lineup still looks solid to me. I love this matchup against Matt Boyd especially the big bats of Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado.
  4. Kansas City Royals vs Kyle Muller (L) – I like AP’s Royals tonight in a great matchup at home vs Kyle Muller and the awful Oakland bullpen. They are coming off a series in Baltimore where they lost two of three but scored 23 runs. Big Salvy Perez has caught fire at the plate and is still only $4,300.
  5. Minnesota Twins vs Peyton Battenfield (R) – Not my favorite stack tonight (as I never get them right) but the Twins line up well tonight vs Peyton Battenfield. Byron Buxton has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball the last couple weeks. He has double-figure points in 9 of his last 13 games.
