    Five Pitchers to Consider

  1. Kevin Gausman, $10,300 (DK) @ Minnesota Twins – Solid price tag here for Gausman who has been pretty solid most of the year. In his 10 starts thus far, he has given up more than 3 runs only twice and has 4 games of 10+ strikeouts. He will see a watered down Minnesota lineup without Jorge Polanco (IL) and possibly Carlos Correa (Foot).
  2. Hunter Brown, $9,900 (DK) @ Oakland A’s – Brown just saw Oakland earlier the week in Houston. He went 6 innings allowing just one run and striking out a season-high 9. Why not run it back again tonight in the same matchup but in a better ballpark for pitchers in Oakland Coliseum.
  3. George Kirby, $9,300 (DK) vs Pittsburgh Pirates – Kirby has gone 8 straight starts giving up 3 runs or less and has gone at least 7 innings in 4 of the last 5 games. I love this $9k range tonight and Kirby is one of the best plays here in a nice home matchup against Pittsburgh.
  4. Chris Sale, $9,000 (DK) @ Arizona Diamondbacks – In his last 4 starts it’s been more like the Chris Sale of old as he has found his groove once again. He is 3-0 over the last 4 starts beating San Diego, Philadelphia and Cleveland. He has also shown the strikeout upside once again as he has fanned 32 batters in his last 27.1 innings.
  5. Reid Detmers, $7,700 (DK) vs Miami Marlins – Detmers is coming off his best start of the year against Minnesota. He went just 5.2 innings but had a career-high 12 strikeouts. I like his price point here tonight at $7,700 in a home matchup vs Miami.

    Five Stacks to Consider

  1. New York Mets vs Connor Seabold (R) – Coors Field will be a popular spot tonight for the visiting New York Mets. We have an 11.5 game total and the Mets will see Connor Seabold who has given up 9 earned runs in his last 2 starts. They are expensive at the top but have plenty of value pieces down in the lower part of this order.
  2. Houston Astros vs James Kaprielian (R) – After scoring 12 runs in Milwaukee on Monday, the Astros got shutout in games 2 & 3 of that series. A trip to Oakland to face James Kaprielian should be just what they need to get back on track. He is 0-4 on the season with a 8.68 ERA. Will stick to the top part of this lineup with Alvarez and Tucker at the top of my list.
  3. Atlanta Braves vs Taijuan Walker (R) – Great spot for offense tonight in Truist Park with 2 bad pitchers going at it in Walker & Shuster. With Coors Field on the slate hopefully we can get this game a little lower owned. Love Matt Olson here in this spot as he has been on fire.
  4. Philadelphia Phillies vs Jared Shuster (L) – Other side of the game I just mentioned in Atlanta. Shuster performed well in his last start against Seattle but is still one of the worst pitchers on the slate in my opinion. The Phillies have plenty of power in this lineup.
  5. Boston Red Sox vs Brandon Pfaadt (R) – While Brandon Pfaadt is a highly ranked prospect for the Diamondbacks, he has yet to perform well at the major league level. In his 4 starts so far he has given up 17 earned runs in just 20 innings of work. Really like Rafael Devers and company here in a late night hammer spot.
