5 Pitchers to consider on this slate:

  1. Spencer Strider – 12.3DK – A VERY steep price to pay here for QUADZILLA. This is as high a priced pitcher we have seen all season long. He gets a tough matchup at home here against the Dodgers. He still has the lowest xFIP on the slate at 2.60 and the highest swinging strike rate at a massive 20.4%. He has the highest upside of anyone on any given slate. He is projected to be close to 50% on this slate, so he is a key decision point on how you build here.
  2. Gerrit Cole – 11.2DK – Strider/Cole will be the chalk pair on this slate. He has half the swinging strike % as strider here at only 11.5%. In 118 PA against this Orioles team, he only has a 22% strikeout rate but has limited the dame to a 291 xwoba and a 374xslg. I will likely be underweight on him here.
  3. Drew Smyly – 7.3DK – Has been really good so far this season. He is averaging 18 DK points on the season in 9 starts. He has a respectable 4.24 xfip along with a 24% strikeout rate. He is also allowing the 2nd lowest EV on the slate and has only a 5% barrell % allowed.
  4. Kyle Bradish – 7.2DK – Another guy who has been decent for his tag this season. I’m not really scared of the Yankees outside of Aaron Judge. I think he grinds out a decent score here tonight.
  5. Eury Perez – 7.1DK – He has the third highest swinging strike rate on the slate at 12.7%.  The price is really low for the upside he possesses. He has the 2nd lowest xfip on the slate at 3.01. LOVE him tonight!

5 Stacks to consider on this slate:

  1. Miami Marlins – I don’t normally like to include Coors in this writeup, but this spot for the Marlins is too good to pass up. I prolly still wont 5 man the Marlins as they will be VERY chalky tonight, but I will have a lot of mini stacks. Soler and De La Cruz top the list for me here. Gomber has some of the worst metrics I have ever seen for a pitcher.
  2. Atlanta Braves –  Going right back top my Bravos tonight. They get Rookie Booby Miller here who has a 5.65 ERA in AAA this season. Don’t forget Dodger killer Eddie Rosario in your lineups!! Acuna and Olson are my top 2 guys.
  3. Houston Astros – The Astros put up a crooked number last night against Corbin Burnes and now they get Colin Rea. YorDONG had a monster night last night hitting 2 bombs and rreaking the slate. Could happen again here. Rea is allowing a 200 ISO to both sides of the plate.
  4. Boston Red Sox – They get Griffin Canning here tonight in LA. He has been really bad on the season so far with a massive 4.8 xFIP. He is also allowing 1.59 HR/9. Love all the lefties here for the Sox.
  5. Milwaukee Brewers – JP France’s underlying numbers look really bad. He has the worst xFIp on the slate at a massive 5.04 along with a slate high 2.35 HR/9. He HAS been more reverse splits this season, so I like the righties here too.
