    Five Pitchers to Consider

  1. Jacob deGrom, $11,500 (DK) vs NY Yankees – We are finally seeing elevated price tags for some of the top stud pitchers recently on Draft Kings. deGrom is coming off a win over Oakland where we have up just one earned run and struck out 11 batters for the second time this year. This Yankees lineup has a lot of strikeouts in it. Sign me up!
  2. Framber Valdez, $10,000 (DK) vs Philadelphia Phillies – Valdez might be the second highest owned pitcher on the slate after deGrom. He has been consistent to start the season with over 20 fantasy pints in four of the his five starts. Nice matchup here at home vs the Phillies.
  3. Max Fried, $7,700 (DK) @ New York Mets – Since coming off the injured list, Fried has been spectacular tossing 11.2 innings of shutout baseball against Houston and San Diego. He is underpriced here at $7,700. If this game plays he makes for a solid option in New York.
  4. Alek Manoah, $6,900 (DK) vs Seattle – Manoah hasn’t been great to start the season but rebounded well last time out in Yankees Stadium. He was locked in a pitchers dual with Gerrit Cole leaving with a no-decision after seven shutout innings. I like the cheap price tag here if you are wanting to spend down at SP2.
  5. Rich Hill, $5,800 (DK) @ Washington – Never thought I would be recommending Rich Hill in this space in 2023 but the 43-year old has been solid in four of his five starts. He is 2-0 in his last two starts where he gave up just two earned runs in wins over Cincinnati and Colorado. He is another cheap option tonight if you want to spend up for some big bats.

    Five Stacks to Consider

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers vs Jack Flaherty (R) – If you are looking outside of Coors Field for offense tonight, the Dodgers are one of my favorite spots. Flaherty was much better last time out but this lineup for Los Angeles lines up well here. I love the power bats of Freeman, Muncy and Outman here.
  2. Arizona Diamondbacks vs Kyle Freeland (L) – After a great start to the season, Freeland has really come back to earth. In two losses to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh he gave up 13 hits and 11 earned runs. Ketel Marte is the only guy priced over $5k. The rest of the team is way too cheap here.
  3. Milwaukee Brewers vs Tyler Anderson (L) – Another relatively cheap stack (outside of Adames and Yelich) that you can use pieces of or five man. Tyler Anderson has been hit and hit hard this year and I look for that to continue tonight.
  4. Tampa Bay Rays @ Lucas Giolito – After getting shutout in back-to-back games against Houston, the Rays bounced back yesterday with a 14-5 win over Chicago. They exploded for 16 hits and 14 runs against Dylan Cease and the White Sox bullpen. They always seem to be an overlooked stack.
  5. Colorado Rockies vs Merrill Kelly (R) – The other side of the Coors Field game where we have to have interest in the Rockies here. Merrill Kelly has struggled this year with his control leading the league with 17 walks. Coors is not a place to struggle with your control.
