    Four Pitchers to Consider

  1. Gerrit Cole, $11,200 (DK) @ Texas Rangers – The Cole Train is off to a scorching start to the season going 4-0 through his first five starts. He has given up just 3 earned runs in 34 innings and has a 0.79 ERA. Texas is coming off a disappointing sweep in Cincinnati.
  2. Shane McClanahan, $10,000 (DK) @ Chicago White Sox – McClanahan is coming off a no-decision against the White Sox last start in Tampa Bay. He gave up two earned runs (both solo HRs) and struck out a season-high 10. He has been a consistent fantasy starter this year with getting at least 20 fantasy points in each start.
  3. Kyle Gibson, $7,400 (DK) @ Detroit Tigers – Gibson just faced the Tigers at home on Sunday and threw a gem going 6.1 innings giving up just one earned run striking out 11. On a short slate and coming off the big performance, he should be a popular value play here.
  4. Joey Lucchesi, $6,400 (DK) vs Washington Nationals – Lucchesi was called upon last week to make a spot start due to the injury to Carlos Carrasco and he did not disappoint. Making his first start in the majors June 2021, he threw seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts in San Francisco. He has another favorable matchup tonight against Washington.

    Three Stacks to Consider

  1. New York Mets vs Trevor Williams (R) – The Mets offense has been quiet the first two games of this series with Washington. I think they break out tonight against Trevor Williams and the Nats bullpen. Brandon Nimmo & Francisco Lindor look like solid plays here at the top of the order. There should be some value pieces at the bottom we can use as well.
  2. Baltimore Orioles vs Joey  Wentz (L) – This Orioles offense just saw Wentz last week in Camden Yards and he lasted just four innings giving up five earned runs in a 5-1 loss. Ryan Mountcastle and Adley Rutschman have cooled off a bit lately but love them both in this spot on the road.
  3. Minnesota Twins vs Zack Greinke (R) – Another Zack Greinke start and another start that I will stack against him. The Twins offense can be frustrating at times but with Jorge Polanco back healthy I like the way this lineup looks. Byron Buxton is a solid play at $5,200 and the rest of the lineup is affordable here.
