Five Pitchers to Consider

1. Joe Musgrove, $10,500 (DK) vs Colorado – Musgrove has been one of the most consistent fantasy pitchers this season. He was brilliant in his last start, carrying a no-hitter into the 8th inning in Milwaukee until giving up a two-out double to Kolten Wong. Tonight he will get a Colorado team who I am not afraid of outside Coors Field.

2. Luis Severino, $10,300 (DK) vs Chi Cubs – We are starting to see flashes of the Luis Severino prior to his injury. He was dominant in his last start beating Detroit 3-0 giving up only one hit and striking out a season-high 10 over seven innings of work. He draws a nice matchup here at home against the Cubs.

3. Jose Berrios, $7,500 (DK) @ Detroit – Berrios feels a bit under priced tonight at $7,500 in a tasty matchup in Detroit. He is coming off a monster start against the Twins where he gave up two runs over seven innings and struck out a season-high 13 batters.

4. Luis Castillo, $8,500 (DK) @ St. Louis – The Cardinals are coming off a 3-5 road trip capped of by getting swept in Tampa Bay. They were outscored 17-6 by the Rays and really struggled at the plate striking out 28 times in the 3 games. Enter Luis Castillo who has 22 strikeouts over his last 3 starts. Castillo makes for a mid-tier option tonight.

5. Spencer Strider, $7,000 (DK) vs Pittsburgh – The 23-year old youngster has been decent in his first couple starts since being moved into the rotation. He does brings strikeout upside into this nice matchup at home vs the lowly Pirates offense. He makes for a nice mid-lower tier option tonight if you need to save some salary.

Five Stacks to Consider

1. New York Yankees vs Wade Miley (L) – This Yankees has been on fire for weeks and now get to face the lefty Wade Miley who is coming off the injured list to pitch tonight. They lead the major leagues in home runs with 87 through 57 games. Aaron Judge has hit 22 home runs leading the league as well. Sign me up !!!

2. Toronto Blue Jays vs Elvin Rodriguez (R) – The Blue Jays offense has started to come alive the last week and should continue that momentum tonight in Detroit vs Elvin Rodriguez. In his last start Rodriguez was pounded to the tune of 11 hits and 10 earned runs in just four innings (giving up 4 home runs) in Yankees Stadium. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be a key bat in my stacks here.

3. Atlanta Braves vs Roansy Contreras (R) – I am not a believer in Contreras and what he has done recently. He is coming off a good outing at home against the Diamondbacks but going into Truist Park to face the red hot Braves will be a much tougher task.

4. Milwaukee Brewers vs Erick Fedde (R) – The Brewers offense has struggled of late but tonight should be able to get back on track vs Erick Fedde in Washington Park. Fedde has been a gas can the last two starts giving up 10 earned runs in only 6 innings of work against the Reds and Mets. Willy Adames had a home run yesterday in his return to the lineup.

5. Boston Red Sox vs Marco Gonzalez (L) – I normally don’t like to target offenses in this park but this Boston offense lines up well tonight vs the lefty Marco Gonzales. He has given up 11 home runs already on the year and now has to face the likes of Devers, Bogaerts, Martinez and Story. I like the Red Sox here for a late night hammer stack.
