Brewers @ Braves

Atlanta took the first game of their series against the Brewers last night. It was an epic, as both teams had double-digit hit totals, and the Braves picked up the victory 10-7.

Tonight should be another fun one as Julio Teheran makes the start against his former team. He played in Atlanta for nine years and has bounced around since leaving. This is the second time he has faced his former squad, with the first time coming last week. He was stellar in that start allowing one run in six innings pitched. However, given how Atlanta has performed, he won’t be as lucky tonight.

The Brewers’ offense was clicking last night, but they will have a far tougher challenge with Bryce Elder on the bump today.

Elder has had a few rough outings, but he seemed to have buckled down his last time out. While no one should bet on Elder being lit up today, we can safely assume at least one, if not both, of these guys will be forced to make an early exit. So we should have another easy over.

In this one, fans are treated to a matchup between two promising rookie pitchers, Bryan Woo, and Brandon Pfaadt. Despite encountering challenges, their raw talent is undeniable, and their potential is strong.

Pfaadt possesses considerable talent. Nevertheless, he still has some room for improvement. He has struggled significantly in his four home starts, sporting a concerning 10.34 ERA. During these starts, he has conceded 23 hits and five home runs in just 15.2 innings pitched.

Seattle has faced its share of difficulties this season, mainly with offensive inconsistency. Their collective batting average hovers near the bottom of the league at .233, with not a single player surpassing .285. However, there are moments when they experience strong offense explosions reminiscent of the Seattle team we saw last season.

Facing the struggling rookie, Seattle has a chance to jump on the Diamondbacks early and give themselves a boost. If they can start strong and give Woo some runs to back him up, the team stands a great chance of success.
