Orioles @ Yankees

The Orioles play the second game of their three-game appearance in the Bronx. After the Yankees walked off last night, the Orioles will try to bounce back today.

This is an important series as the Yankees are finally starting to put things together, but the Orioles are trying to keep pace with the Rays for first place. However, given Tampa’s dominance, these two teams may have to settle for a wild card.

As for the present battle, it should be a fun one as Tyler Wells faces off against Nasty Nestor Cortes Jr. While both have been strong this season, their worst starts have come within the division. So bettors should expect to see the less dominant side of these guys.

Nestor Cortes Over 2.5 Runs Allowed (+110)
Tyler Wells Over 5.5 Hits Allowed (+110)

Marlins @ Rockies

Tonight Sandy Alcantara has the brutal battle of pitching at Coors Field. The Cy Young winner has not been the starter he was last season. Alcantara enters play with a 5.05 ERA, as he has been banged up by some inferior opponents.

Things likely won’t improve for him today as he pitched in the Mile High City. The Rockies are a top-tier hitting team when playing at home, and given Alcantara’s consistency problems, they should have a field day with him at altitude.

While I give Colorado the lean at (+150), the easy money will come on the over. Alcantara will give up more than a few, and Karl Kauffmann is making his second career start — and his first at home. So bettors should expect an extremely high-scoring game today.

Alcantara Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+125)
Alcantara Over 7.5 Hits Allowed (+115)
Over 10.5 (-110)
