The Blue Jays starting pitcher today, Kevin Gausman, is having yet another impressive season. He has maintained a 3.07 ERA and recorded 432 strikeouts in 366 and two-thirds innings pitched over the last two years. Recently, he showcased his skills by striking out 11 batters and not conceding a run in seven innings against the Yankees.

Doing that kind of work against the Yankees is no easy task, so he should be able to post similar numbers against the hot and cold bats of Seattle. Gusman has had 7+ Ks in four of his five starts, so the consistency makes this an easy bet.

Kevin Gausman: Over 6.5 strikeouts (-135)

Seattle owned the Blue Jays in 2022. The Mariners took a seven-game winning streak against the birds into this season, but Toronto ended that last night. Looking to start a streak of their own, the Blue Jays should be able to pick up a win with 0-4 Chris Flexen on the mound.

Toronto -1.5 (-125)

Angels @ Brewers

Last night the Brewers edged out the Angles 1-2. Tyler Anderson had a stunning performance, but his team couldn’t help him on the offensive end. With Reid Detmers facing off against Corbin Burns, we should see another low-scoring game today.

Under -9.5 (-115)

After a rough start to the season, Burns is settling in nicely; he has his work cut out for him though, as last night’s game is not indicative of how the Angels’ offense has been operating to this point — LA scored 34 runs over the five games prior.

Burns’ strikeout totals have been lower this season, so the contact pitchers he’s been offering batters will be dangerous today against the Angels.

Corbin Burnes Over 4.5 Hits Allowed (-125)

This game could go either way, Burnes could settle in and have a 10 K kind of day, or the Angles could light him up as the Mets did at the beginning of the month. For that reason, bettors would be wise to stay away from the moneyline.
