MATCHUP SUMMARY

The Lions are still looking for that first win and traveling to Pittsburg will be a tough matchup. After being competitive early in the season Detroit has really fallen off the past couple weeks. The Steelers will look to build more momentum as they gear up for the final late season run at the playoffs and a division title.

Let’s face it, Big Ben is washed up and struggling. He is the downfall from what is a pretty solid offensive and especially defensive nucleus. His supporting cast is solid and carrying him. With that said my major interest in this game is Najee Harris. He should be able to establish the running game against a weak defense. Najee is a three down running back which helps fantasy wise.

The Steelers defense is solid and should feast on Jared Goff. He doesn’t provide much mobility which should allow the Steelers to rush often and collapse the pocket. Goff only has one 300 yard passing game this year and while he will be putting the ball up often in a likely come from behind scenario I have no interest. With a strong rush defense my only Lion target is TJ Hockenson who is getting all the targets he can handle. Hock should get plenty of quick looks and if he can somehow find the end zone he could eclipse 25 fantasy points.

THE DFS GEMS

Najee Harris, Steelers- $7,900. Big price could keep people away as it keeps climbing. Harris could be good for 100+ on the ground, a few receptions with yards and if he finds the end zone twice it will

Pat Freiermuth, Steelers- $3,900. Probably a cash lock after his recent game and the rapport with Ben grows. GPP wise he could be a solid fade due to his popularity and it being hard to have huge games back to back.

TJ Hockenson, Lions- $5,500. He should get around 10 targets and if he can catch 7-80 and one touchdown it will be a very good day for him.
