MATCHUP SUMMARY
Prior to the season starting if anyone said the Giants, Jets or Seahawks would have 6 wins by week 9 you would have thought they were crazy. We’ll time to add another one. If I said that prior to the season the Bears/Lions game in week ten would be a great stack opportunity you would have thought I was crazy. Well this is we’re we are at. Offensively the Bears have found something in the last two weeks. The Lions when healthy have been offensive juggernauts. The key though to this game, both defenses are horrid.
The Lions side in this game should be the one that is under looked. D’Andre Swift is limited and no TJ Hockenson combined with a letdown last week offensively will keep people away. Jared Goff is the key and he is a much better player at home. If he can find his rhythm with Amon St Brown this could become a shootout. If he struggles we could see the Bears control the clock with their ground game. The other big target for Detroit will be Jamaal Williams. People might stay away due to the price and the threat of Swift. To make this a game though Detroit needs to start off well and score some points. If they do then the fantasy points should funnel to Goff, Brown and Williams.
Justin Fields has been electric the past three weeks. Is Fields starting to mature and live up to his draft status. We can’t expect the game he had last week and the price could scare people off. The other scary part and contrarian attack to this game is playing David Montgomery or Khalil Herbert. Both are in a timeshare but this Lions defense is so bad that both could end up doing well. I honestly see people going with Fields by himself making the two running backs very low owned. This could be a game, especially if Detroit struggles early, that the two running backs just take control and Fields isn’t needed. As for the wideouts I will pass and take my chances with the two running backs.
THE DFS GEMS
Jamaal Williams, Lions-$5,900 Sentence. . . Williams only has one 100 yard game this season making him touchdown dependent. I think between the Bear running backs and Amon St Brown he is the lower owned.
Khalil Herbert, Bears-$5,900 Sentence. . . Should be the lowest owned running back. The injury concerns always scare me from Montgomery. Herbert has more big play ability.
Amon St Brown, Lions-$6,900 Sentence. . . The price and his recent results will keep people away. Since week 2 he has been struggling. If the Lions stay close and score he is likely the reason.
