MATCHUP SUMMARY

The New England Patriots will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak after their 33-21 home loss to Buffalo last week. Damien Harris had a huge fantasy game in the loss with 103 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. He appears to be ready to go again this week (hamstring) and draws a nice matchup against the Jaguars who allow 123.5 yards per game on the ground. The Patriots will also welcome back Rhamondre Stevenson, who sat out last week due to COVID protocols. Besides the running game here, I really like the Patriots defense if you want to spend up this week. They were on quite a roll a few weeks ago then ran into Indianapolis and Buffalo (twice). I look for the defensive unit to get back on track with a big effort this week against the woeful Jaguars.

When the Jaguars drafted Trevor Lawrence with the #1 overall pick in last year’s draft they were hoping to take a big step forward in 2021. Not only has that not happened in 2021, they fired first year head coach Urban Meyer a few weeks ago and the team is currently in line to have the #1 overall pick again in 2022. To make matters even worse, star running back James Robinson ruptured his Achilles in last week’s 26-21 loss to the Jets. Dare Ogunbowale should be in line to get the start. He rushed 17 times for 57 yards and a touchdown last week.

THE DFS GEMS

Damien Harris, NEP – $6,600 on DraftKings. Harris looked great last week in his return and draws a nice matchup here this week.

New England DST – $3,900 on DraftKings. I don’t normally recommend a defense in this section but they are clearly in play this week and could put up a huge week in this matchup.
