Glock’s NFL Lineup Review | Week 15

What is up everybody! This is a new article we are introducing this year which will review my main GPP/Single Entry team that I played over the weekend. I’ll do my best to explain why I played who I played, what I would have changed, and the results that came with it. The aim is to have this released every Tuesday and the hope is that the article can help provide you some valuable insight which can help improve your process when playing NFL DFS.

I always like writing review type of articles too since it forces me to be self-critical about my play and helps improves my process in turn. I definitely recommend reviewing your lineups after every weekend as well, I can guarantee it will make you a better player.

If you are familiar with my NBA Year In Review article from last year, I am not a high stakes player whatsoever and tend to play SE contests which are at the $100 price point and under. Whether you are a high stakes or low stakes player, you should be able to take tidbits and apply it to all levels of play. For the purposes of this article, I’ll be reviewing the ownership from the $50 NFL $200K Red Zone [$25K to 1st, Single Entry] contest. Lets dive in!

Matt Stafford – Have been playing QBs vs WASH all year, definitely was not gonna stop here with a guy who has arguably been the most consistent QB as of late. LAR stalled out a few times in the red zone, could have been a monster day

Kyren Williams – Kyren has essentially a CMC-esque role so I felt it was OK to pair with Stafford as he gets a lot of pass catching work as well. Best chalk play on the slate in my opinion as WASH run defense has been suspect all year

Antonio Gibson – No Brian Robinson for WASH so Gibson was an easy run back option who I felt would benefit in a trailing game script

Cooper Kupp – Chose Kupp as I thought he’d be the lower owned between him and Puka Nacua… ended up guessing wrong here as Kupp ended up being 28% while Puka 22% in the same contest. Easy correlation choice with my QB

Jayden Reed – TB/GB was a game environment I liked, Jayden Reed also has been in a Deebo Samuel type of role for GB as of late. Couldn’t pass up on it at this tag

Wan’Dale Robinson – Thought Wan’Dale has looked like DeVito’s favorite target thus far, and the own % could come down with Tyreek being out and more people funneling onto Cedrick Wilson. He ended up being 5% owned

Chig Okonkwo – Debated Kraft or Chig long and hard here. Kraft made me regret my decision after he quickly scored a touchdown. Def didn’t love pairing Reed + Kraft together either so that is what leaned me more into Chig

CMC – SF/ARI was another game environment I liked and I gained leverage on the SF passing game by playing CMC (not really because he caught 2 receiving TDs, but you get the point haha)

Jets DST – Thought MIA looked horrible vs TEN when Tyreek came out of the game. Their O-Line was also decimated… they definitely proved me wrong here though. Sims loved Bills DST, should have just taken the reduced ownership and price tag there and potentially up

Disappointed in how chalky the lineup was overall as I somewhat thought Kupp would come in lower owned, but can’t be mad about the min-cash with 2 snowflakes. LAR vs WASH was too good of a spot that I did not want to pass up so in my mind, all of it was good chalk. I also thought Kyren + Stafford would somewhat make me different in smaller field contests as many like to pair QB with 2 pass catchers traditionally and not with a RB. We’ve got a lot of NFL action ahead as we head into the holiday weekend so lets #RunPure and have a Happy Holidays for Week 16!
