MATCHUP SUMMARY

Two teams playing for nothing more than pride and draft position. The Bears did show up last week, albeit against a weak Seahawks team. Of the two teams they do have the higher upside players. Meanwhile the Giants offense is just abysmal. The defense hasn’t been bad but eventually breaks down as the offense doesn’t do anything to make it easier for them.

Nick Foles returned last week leading the Bears to a come from behind victory. Foles was effective through the air. The game sets up well for him but I don’t see this being a game that provides huge upside for him. The Giants have been solid against the pass only allowing three 300 yard passing games. The player I like the most is David Montgomery who is seeing large amounts of touches. Montgomery is getting the job done via catches out of the backfield but still has nice rushing upside.

Defensively the Bears have been hurt on defense leaving them just average at best. Like the Giants they have defenses the pass well and get a good matchup going against Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm. The two should split time making neither playable. I have no interest in the wideouts due to who is throwing them the ball. Saquon Barkley is questionable and if he doesn’t play the Giants are left with Eli Penny. I want no part of this Giants offense.

THE DFS GEMS

David Montgomery, Bears- $6,500. Perhaps this is the week he gets it going on the ground. If he can somehow eclipse 100 yards and find the end zone while continuing to be a threat out of the backfield he could end up with 30+ points.

Chicago Bears Defense- $3,200. The upside comes from a touchdown along with sacks. The price is fair and the matchup sets up well for a nice outcome.
