MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Dolphins are coming off a promising season finishing with a 10-6 record with the combination of Fitzmagic and Tua at Quarterback. They have since moved on from Fitz and given the reigns to TUA. They also added Stud WR Jaylen Waddle in the draft and signed Will Fuller in free agency. This team was very good against the pass last season and boast 2 of the best CBs in the league with Xavien Howard and Byron Jones. Myles Gaskin emerged as the primary ball carrier in this offense last season, but it appears he will be in some form of committee with Malcolm Brown and Salvon Ahmed this season. This game is mostly a stay away from me this week but will provide some players below to consider.
The Patriots finally made the move everyone wanted them to make by cutting Cam Newton and handing the keys over to Mac Jones. While this team will still primarily be a running team, at least they have someone who can competently throw the football. They also moved on from Sony Michel, solidifying Damien Harris as the clear RB1. The rookie Rhamondre Stevenson will get some touches as well after an impressive camp. Their WR core is less than to be desired. They Signed Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne in free agency and still have Jakobi Meyers. Meyers had an impressive camp and built a good rapport with Mac. On the defensive side of the ball, they had the most players opt-out for last season, and are absolutely loaded this season. I expect a huge improvement this season. As for this game, there isn’t much that sticks out to me other than possibly Damien Harris.
THE DFS GEMS
Damien Harris, NE – $5,200 on DraftKings. Clear RB1 now with Michel gone. Should see volume here.
Myles Gaskin, MIA – $6,000 on DraftKings. Maybe a bit overpriced here but will also be catching passes.
