Dee’s Soccer – Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Pick 3/7/21

Game: Tottenham vs Crystal Palace
League: English Premier League
Date: Mar-7
Time: 2:15 pm EST

Tottenham have done a good job this season beating teams they are superior to. They have struggled against the top teams in England, but against teams beneath them in England and in Europa League, the Spurs are have only lost 2 of 30 games across all competitions. Tottenham will take on a 13th place Crystal Palace on Sunday March 7th.

Tottenham are fighting for a top 6 position in the Premier League which would secure the Spurs a place in Europe next season. Tottenham are expected to have Regulion and Aurier back in their starting XI, and along with an almost fully fit squad, Mourinho should have his pick of his strongest starting lineup.

Palace have struggled vs the top teams in England. They have 1 win, 5 draws and 6 losses vs the top 10 in England. In those 12 games, Palace have scored 9 goals and conceded 27.

Tottenham are on a 3-match winning streak, scoring 9 goals and conceding 0 in their last 3 matches. Palace have been shutout in 5 of their past 6 matches. The only win in Palace’s last 6 matches was a 2-1 win at Brighton where they were outshot 25-3.

Wilfred Zaha is expected back in the Palace squad for this match. Zaha has not played in over a month, and as Palace’s highest usage and most prolific player, I expect a little rust vs a very defensive and rough Tottenham midfield that should make Zaha uncomfortable.

I am confident in the Spurs chances at collecting 3 points vs Palaces and an Asian Handicap at -1 should have us walk away with a push at the very least. Kane, Son and Bale are in good form and should have a plethora of chances vs a Palace squad dealing with many injury concerns.

Dee’s Best Bet:
Tottenham -1 Asian Handicap (-114) Good to -130
