MATCHUP SUMMARY
Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott head into Foxboro on a four-game win streak to face the rebuilding Patriots. There is some DFS appeal with a 51 total, but both the Cowboys and Patriots spread the ball around enough that we won’t want to get carried away with a full game stack here. Early season concerns about Tony Pollard becoming a threat to Elliott’s lead back role have largely abated and Mike McCarthy has chosen to work the clock behind Elliott in three straight games.
Even in a rebuilding season, Bill Belichick remains almost completely unpredictable and the Patriots are relatively irrelevant for DFS. The Cowboys’ pace is what provides DFS goodness for their opponents trying to catch up but the Patriots employ a committee at every position and the Running Backs are completely unplayable on large slates. I have been impressed with Trevon Diggs and expect he will shadow Jakobi Meyers, leaving our options for possible ceiling games to be Nelson Agholor and Hunter Henry on the Patriots’ side. Simply put, I think there are significantly better options available on this slate.
THE DFS GEMS
EZEKIEL ELLIOTT, DAL – $7100 on DraftKings. The price hasn’t moved much and Elliott looks to be a go for this week in a great matchup.
CEEDEE LAMB, DAL – $6500 on DraftKings. I’ll be more invested in the rushing game but CeeDee and Amari Cooper are also viable options.
DALTON SCHULTZ, DAL – $4900 on DraftKings. He continues to get 7-8 targets each week and is making the most of them.
