MATCHUP SUMMARY
The Cowboys head into SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles after dropping a thrilling back and forth affair to the defending champion Buccaneers in the opener last Thursday. Dak Prescott wasted no time in showing the world that he is fully recovered, firing for 403 yards and 3 touchdowns on a whopping 58 passing attempts. Expect to count on similar volume for Dak as the Cowboys’ defensive weakness suggests they will be consistently playing from behind.
The Chargers get perhaps the best defensive matchup for their home opener. Looking good in a road win at Washington, you can expect big games from Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler in this cupcake matchup. Jalen Guyton is on my radar as a cheaper Wide Receiver 3 with upside at just $3100 on Draftkings.
THE DFS GEMS
JUSTIN HERBERT, LAC – $6700 on DraftKings. The Cowboys’ passing defense will be a target for us all season long but the mix of Herbert’s talent and weapons make this a top spot on the board. Herbert slung 47 times for 337 yards against the Football Team last week and with his game indoors and the highest total of the week we could see a ceiling game from him Sunday.
KEENAN ALLEN, LAC – $7000 on DraftKings. This is, perhaps, the most absurd price of the week. I may play Allen in every lineup I make and I recommend you do the same.
CEE DEE LAMB, DAL – $6400 on DraftKings. Cee Dee saw 15 targets last week and I’d expect we’ll see him at much higher price points as the year goes on. This is another game where I expect Dallas to be trailing and Cee Dee will see plenty of opportunities in this game.
