The Knights head to Charles Koch Arena to take on the Shockers.

Neither team in this one is doing well this season; they fall in the middle of the pack in what’s been a surprisingly competitive conference. Houston holds the top spot in the AAC, but Tulane, Temple, and Memphis have played great ball this year. As a result, the AAC should be well represented in March.

As bad as these two teams have been this season, they are due some credit, as they have managed to float at .500.

Both teams have been relatively predictable this season, beating teams below them in the standings and losing to those ahead of them. Moreover, their records straight up and at the spread are almost identical. All this to say, this is a well-matched meeting.

UCF picked up the win when the Shockers came to Florida, and now that Wichita is hosting, they are favored. However, it wouldn’t matter where they are playing, as UCF has looked terrible recently. The Shockers will take this one, coming off a win against Tulsa and hoping to make a push before the tournament.

San Diego State @ Utah State

The 25th-ranked Aztecs head to the Beehive State to take on the Aggies.

San Diego State holds a one-game lead in the Mountain West, but they will try to grow that lead with a win tonight. The Mountain West is exceptionally top-heavy, but the Aztecs have done a great job of fending off the competition. A win here would go a long way in locking up the conference.

Utah State is a program on the rise. They have made an appearance in two of the last three NCAA tournaments, and bettors should expect to see them there again this year. While they don’t have any impressive wins, as San Diego is the only impressive team on their schedule, there are taking care of the business in front of them. A win here would give them a season split with the Aztecs and would go a long way on their resume. However, if they lose today, they are just a David that beats up other Davids.

This game will come down to defense, the Aggies allowed 85 points in their trip to San Diego, and this team will always struggle to win a shootout. However, they should come out on top if they can keep the score low.

Utah State -1.5 (-110)
Under 146.5 (-110)
