The Vermont Catamounts head to Massachusetts Lowell to take on the River Hawks.

In a change of pace, UMass Lowell is currently the number one team in the American East. The River Hawks are 2-1 in conference play and 14-3 overall.

In recent years, Vermont and Albany have dominated this conference, as they have been the sole representative in the NCAA tournament. Still, the River Hawks are trying to change that narrative. They started the season hot, but conference play may be putting them in their place.

Last time out, Massachusetts Lowell suffered a 26-point loss to Albany. They hope to bounce back tonight, but Vermont is heating up as they have won six of their last eight. Vermont has won nine of their last ten meetings with UMass, and given how strong they have looked in recent games, that’s the trend bettors should ride with.

Mississippi State @ Georgia

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are coming off a fantastic win against the Ole Miss Rebels, but they will be put to the test tonight visiting the Georgia Bulldogs.

The SEC is having a fantastic year, with four teams represented in the rankings — two in the top ten. Kentucky is the only SEC team that has won a basketball championship since Florida’s back-to-back wins in 06-07. However, this may be the year they add another school enter the championship ring — it would be just the third this century.

While it likely won’t be one of these two teams, Georgia is pushing for their second title of the year. They had a statement win against Auburn, but they followed up that performance with a loss against Florida. They have the perfect bounce-back spot here, and a conference win would bump them up dramatically in the standings. This would also be their first win against Mississippi State since 2017.

Georgia (+120) & Over 128.5 (-110)
