MATCHUP SUMMARY

The Chargers come off a tough last-second loss, losing on a 56-yard field goal to Dallas. There were some questionable calls made by the refs, which ended up costing LA a 2-0 start and now they look to rebound vs a Chiefs team that also lost a close game. It was reassuring to see Austin Ekeler featured in the passing game again catching all 9 of his targets for 61 yards after 0 targets in their first game. Herbert was 31-41, throwing for 338 yards but did make a couple of mistakes throwing 2 interceptions. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams continue to be the top 2 targets for Herbert. Williams has seen double-digit targets in back-to-back weeks, and Allen has hit 100+ yards in both games this year.

This Chiefs team resembles the 2018 KC team that also struggled mightily on defense and had to rely on their high-powered offense to outscore their opponents. The Chiefs have allowed 4 different rushers to average over 5.5 yards per carry in the first two games (Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Ty’Son Williams, Lamar Jackson). Travis Kelce continues to be one of the biggest mismatches in the league and found the endzone for the 3rd time this season. Kelce and Hardman both garnered 8 targets as the Ravens took away the big play threat of Hill holding him to 14 yards receiving.

This will be a popular game to target this week with the high total and two high-powered offenses. A full game stack will be tough due to the high price tags of the studs, however, Mecole Hardman is still priced under 4K and off an 8-target game. The Chargers pieces are cheaper, and I expect people to stack the Chargers in this game with 1 or 2 KC guys on the bring back.

THE DFS GEMS

Justin Herbert, LAC – $6,500 on DraftKings. Herbert has hit the 300-yard bonus in both games and has 40+ pass attempts. This matchup vs the soft KC defense has the making for that ceiling game we were expecting last week vs Dallas.

Keenan Allen, LAC – $6,600 on DraftKings. Great price tag here on Allen in a potential shootout. He has hit the 100-yard bonus in both games and has 21 targets on the year.

Travis Kelce, KC – $8,200 on DraftKings. There are only 3 other skill position players priced higher than Kelce this week. Kelce continues to be Mahomes favorite target and is a big mismatch for every team and has found the box 3 times already this year.
