MATCHUP SUMMARY
Tampa Bay failed to wrap up the NFL South division last week when they were shutout 9-0 by the New Orleans Saints. They will get another chance this week when they travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers. In the loss to the Saints, the Buccaneers lost three of their main offensive weapons in running back Leonard Fournette (IR-Hamstring) and starting wide receivers , Mike Evans (Out-hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ACL – Out for the year). In their absence Ronald Jones III will get the bulk of the carries in the backfield and Tom Brady will welcome the return of Antonio Brown who will serve as the clear No. 1 receiver this week.Â
The Carolina Panthers lost 31-14 in Buffalo last week and have now lost four games in a row. Sam Darnold is set to come off injured reserve but head coach Matt Rhule says that Cam Newton will get the start again this week. Wide receiver DJ Moore has 12 catches (on 21 targets) the last two weeks and should get a good game script here playing from behind. Robbie Anderson is cheap ($4,900) and could provide a value piece if you need it this week. He has 20 targets the last two weeks.
THE DFS GEMS
Tom Brady, TB – $7,400 on DraftKings. Even with the injuries, Brady always seems to find a way and still has Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski.
Antonio Brown, TB – $4,900 on DraftKings. With Evans and Godwin out Brady will look to a familiar face in Brown.
DJ Moore, CAR – $5,700 on DraftKings. Nice run back here as the Panthers should be in a trailing game script.
