MATCHUP SUMMARY

Is this a trap game for the Bengals? Yes they are 3-0 beating Kansas City recently. The following game they are 0-2. A Super Bowl loss to the Rams and season finale loss to Cleveland were most starters didn’t play. I am leaning no as they now have the inside track to the division title with Lamar Jackson hurt. For Cleveland they are basically playing for pride as the playoff chances are extremely limited. On top of that the remaining schedule isn’t favorable to win out. One last note on this game. It’s the 2nd highest total on what appears to be a tough week game stacking.

The DeShaun Watson era began last week for the Browns and to say he was rusty is an understatement. One week of true actual game play will help but after seeing last weeks performance it may be next year until we see the old Watson. On top of that the Bengals haven’t allowed a 300 yard passer all season. In fact only four games have gone over 250+. For all the above reasons I will be off the Browns passing game. Now the Bengals run defense has been susceptible. Enter Nick Chubb who’s price is going down slightly. He is due for a big break away run, what made him click early season. I also believe just the presence of Watson should help open lanes.

Four straight victories for Cincinnati and the credit goes to Joe Burrow. Don’t overlook Samaje Perine who has been stellar the last three games. The question is does a return of Joe Mixon kill his production or do the Bengals continue to ride him. Pay attention to this through the week. I won’t have any Mixon but Perine in the right situation I will. The Browns are dismal against the run. Burrow can never be counted out and this could be a sneaky game situation for him. Many will go with a running back based on numbers. Perhaps Joe goes over looked. Pairing him with Jamar Chase or Tee Higgins will be the way to go. Chase came back strong against the Chiefs catching 7/8 for just under 100.

THE DFS GEMS

Nick Chubb, Browns-$7,800 . . . Solid opportunity for Chubb to get back on track against a weaker run defense. Don’t think the ownership will be over whelming.

Joe Burrow, Bengals-$7,000 Price is to cheap for his upside. He has the offense clicking. His chance to show last week was no fluke.

Jamar Chase, Bengals-$7,900  Has 3 30+ points on season. Could easily get deep a couple times and put up huge numbers.
