MATCHUP SUMMARY
Now we know why Baker Mayfield hasn’t been that good this season. He has a partially torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder. This sets up to be a HEAVY rushing attack for the Browns this week. In week 4 they had 38 total rushing attempts and I expect the same in this game. The Chargers rank 25th in rushing d DVOA this season. Nick Chubb ($6,700) had 21 carries last week for 100 yards, and I expect a similar performance in this one. Kareem Hunt ($5,800) also had 16 touches for 97 total yards and is also in play this week. I will be passing on the pass-catchers.
The Chargers are coming off a home win versus the then-undefeated Raiders. Ekeler had a monster game with 145 total yards and 2 TDS. The Browns defense is ranked 1 in rushing D DVOA so I will be staying away in this game. Keenan Allen’s ($6,500) is too cheap in this spot. The Chargers will be forced to throw and Keenan is averaging 11 targets per game. Meanwhile, his teammate, Mike Williams ($7,200) is getting a bit expensive. Jared Cook ($3,600) popped for a 6 reception 70 yard and 1 TD performance in week 4 and is cheap in this spot.
THE DFS GEMS
Nick Chubb, CLE – $6,700 on DraftKings. Should see 20 carries in this game.
Kareem Hunt, CLE – $5,800 on DraftKings. If Cleveland gets behind, should see a ton of targets.
Keenan Allen, LAC – $6,500 on Draftkings. Too cheap seeing 11 targets per game.
