MATCHUP SUMMARY

When these two teams met earlier, Kansas City jumped out to a 27-0 lead. They eventually held on for a 6 point victory. With this game in Kansas City I would expect something similar, perhaps not as big, but easier to stay ahead by many points. The key for the Chiefs is not to take the game lightly. They are still fighting for a potential first round playoff bye.

It’s pretty hard to play any of these Broncos. The team is in such disarray. Sure a new coach could perhaps help. Unfortunately the bigger issue is the lack of trust in Russell Wilson combined with his antics. The game actually sets up well for Russ as they should be playing from behind. From a fantasy standpoint he had his second best game of the year verse the Chiefs. Jerry Juedy is the obvious pair if playing Wilson. Juedy has gone for 20+ points in two of his last three including the game against the Chiefs. Courtland Sutton is the obvious pivot but he has lacked targets. Greg Dulcich is the final play for the Broncos. He continues to improve but like almost every tight end lacks consistency from week to week. The Broncos would be a risky but low owned stack.

How to approach the Chiefs offense is tough. The only known is Patrick Mahomes should be the guy to target. He struggled in the 2nd half verse Denver earlier in the season but due to a blowout he could be moderately owned at best. The run game is the best way to attack Denver. Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon continue to split the backfield. Pacheco is the runner while McKinnon gets the air yards. Both disappointed last week and could be over looked. Travis Kelce is the only wideout I am interested in as Mahomes has plenty to choose from. His price will keep him lower owned. He is a tough play as this doesn’t feel like a Kelce ceiling game.

THE DFS GEMS

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs-$8,500 Sentence. . . If I am playing any Chief it will be Mahomes naked. He has so many options which makes it tough to determine who to pair with. Patrick can spread the ball around and still get enough points for himself and what should be at leverage ownership.

Russell Wilson, Broncos-$5400  Sentence. . . Sometimes you just have to look at the potential upside at a low ownership while being a risky play. Many will just cross Wilson off without a blink of the eye. If he does hit you won’t be competing against many other teams.

Jerry Juedy, Broncos-$6,400 Sentence. . . The price along with all the Denver turmoil will keep people away. If your playing him you need Wilson and vice versa.
